Well, bless your heart! I hope you had some bubble and squeak to help you sleep, mate

Technically Kansas City as a metropolitan area sits on the border and has neighborhoods in both Missouri and Kansas. In that metropolitan area there are, among others, municipalities called Kansas City, Missouri, and Kansas City, Kansas, which although smaller with 150K inhabitants (it's the third largest municipality in the area, behind Kansas City, Missouri, and Overland Park, Kansas) versus the much bigger Kansas City, Missouri (500K), does exist.

That's preposterous. I'm a dual citizen of the United States and of one of the leading countries of the European Union, I lived in two European countries, I was there during FIFA World Cups multiple times both watching from large screens in plazas and attending the games in person, as well as during Champions League finals, and there is just NO COMPARISON WHATSOEVER in the excitement and national fervor triggered by the FIFA World Cup and the Champions League. Maybe the Brits may feel differently, but it is DEFINITELY not the case on the continent.

To pretend that in soccer international competitions are not important (by the way, the Champions League is an international competition - I think you meant national team competitions) is, again, one of the most ridiculous statements I've ever read here. Don't forget the UEFA Euro either.

About the Prem thread, thanks, but not at this time.

Nope.. Dan Marino was definitely 1 of the greatest QB's in the history of the NFL.. He was GREAT.. He never won a SB... Many baseball fans say Ted Williams was 1 of the greatest baseball players in the history of the game, he never was on a winning WS team.

In teams sports you can NOT label individual greatness on 'winning the big one'.

I'd take Dan Marino over Eli Manning every single time, 1 won zero SB's, 1 won 2.. I'd take the guy with 0 SB's..

Not related to the original post to which I replied. In any event:

    Arrowhead Stadium - Wikipedia

Arrowhead Stadium is an American football stadium in Kansas City, Missouri, United States. It primarily serves as the home venue of the Kansas City Chiefs of the National Football League (NFL).

20-0.. And I'm pretty sure GB's offense isn't nearly as explosive as KC's.. So I fear we may not see a SB 1 match-up.

I’m not talking about from a fans perspective I’m talking about how players are judged and nowadays most modern footballers are the top see the champions league as the pinnacle of club football. World Cup is every 4 years and only a small handful of players get a chance to win it. It’s just not comparable especially to a SB.
This is not peace, it is an armistice for 20 years. (Ferdinand Foch. After the Treaty of Versailles, 1919).

I'm sure everybody in the metropolitan area, regardless of where their specific municipality seats, roots for the Chiefs. Same thing with the Carolina Panthers: they are in Charlotte, NC, a few miles from the border with South Carolina (certain Charlotte southern neighborhoods are in South Carolina) but fans from both states root for the team and consider the team to represent both states. I'm quite sure that Kansas City, Kansas residents believe that the Chiefs represent their city too, regardless of where the stadium and the headquarters are located. This is the case for many other NFL teams. Look for example at the NEW YORK Giants and the NEW YORK Jets. Neither one is in New York City. They are in New Jersey. The New England Patriots are the team of multiple New England states and are more strongly associated with Boston, but their stadium is actually relatively far from Boston. And so on and so forth.
