NFL Playoffs

The Patriots was one thing, they said. But the Ravens cannot be beat, they said. Let alone by the lowly Titans, they said. And I said bring unto me wood and water.

And that should be over and done for the Ravens, failed another 4th down situation and with 4 minutes to go it is down for the count IMO.

Lamar Jackson 0-2 in the playoffs. Enjoy Baltimore

Well, today's games did not go as I anticipated, but I was impressed with the Titans last week. This week was no different. I always thought Tannehill was a better QB than the teams he played on, and that seemed to show today. Honestly, I quit paying attention to the Titans after the 2-4 start. Silly me!

Too bad Brees had an off game last week. Vikings clearly did not belong in this one.

I never understood why people said all week Minnesota is actually better than San Francisco. Sean Payton gave the game away with 21 seconds left in regulation.

BTW, Wilson played in Wisconsin, so he knows cold games, but it will be hard to spin his magic in the snow. But 24° is hard on anybody. Especially old running backs.

The Titans proved that they are contenders. Congrats, Titans fans.

I think the difference in the game was 12 days of rest vs. a short week and playing on 6 days of rest. Vikings were beat up and it showed. I hate the NFL Playoffs schedule and how it give so MANY advantages to top seeds. Jimmy G needs to be humbled, and that can't happen soon enough. (I do have to say that SF schemes well for his limited talent, though)

Whoah, what a shock. I didnt think the Ravens would lose. Seems the Titans are now red hot and could win it all.

Hopefully this one will be more interesting. The first game was a yawn fest. I actually stopped paying attention mid-way in the third quarter.

I was going to turn it off at the end of the third quarter, but then SF had the ball at the Minnesota 4. So I finally quit watching when there were 11 minutes left.

The second game was by far more interesting. Only Titans fans looking through blue lenses could have expected Baltimore to score just 12 points at home.

Certainly the Titans are looking quite unstopable, playing very well on both sides of the ball.

To stage a comeback, Lamar Jackson needs to lead two drives with TDs and 2-point conversions, and his defense can't allow any more points. Very, very difficult to accomplish. Not impossible, let's remember the 28-3. But very difficult when the QB is young and rattled like it's been noticed. The 28-3 comeback, the QB as the GOAT, Tom Brady. Lamar Jackson is very good but he doesn't have yet Tom Brady's experience, poise and calm.

If the Patriots are done, what does that say about the Ravens?????

If they beat the Patriots Ravens and Chiefs all on the road that will be the most impressive gauntlet in the history of the nfl.

Well, if you have a full-time job with a big company you probably have to earn additional vacation time. When the best teams get a week off, they earned it.

Cris Collinsworth talked about Kyle Shanahan not making Jimmy Garroppolo throw deep passes and the Vikings being beat up from having less than a week between games.

Russell Wilson was a graduate transfer to Wisconsin after playing four years at North Carolilna State. That is why he always says, "Wolfpack and Badgers" during SNF player introductions.

The Green Bay forecast is 21 degrees with a 7-9 mph breeze and too much snow. The Packers are hiring people in the area to shovel Lambeau Field starting at 6:00 a.m. CT for $12 per hour.

Man where was this Titans team all season?

I aquired Tannahill in the 8th week of fantasy league play and he won me game after game. So for fun I put $20 on the Titans to win
the AFC conference at 22 to 1 & 23.5 to1. 20 to win 463. Henry was a beast but Tannihill had a lot to do with it. Baltimore was -150
to win the AFC.

[10116] Tennessee Titans +2350
Game start 01/11/2020 01:35 PM

606113248-1 1/3/20 8:21pm $5.00 $110.00 Pending 1/4/20 4:35pm Football NFL AFC Conference - Tennessee Titans +2200

Now I'll play the other side so if Houston beats KC I'll probably win over $200, If KC wins maybe $120
A bird in the hand is worth 2 in the bush

Actually, the real questsion iss about the Titans. What odes it say about Tennessee that they beat the Patriots in Round 1 and Ravens in Round 2 as the #6 seed?

Nobody can convince me it was not OPI but the game would have ended in regulation if Sean Payton had played to win instead of "not to lose" in the last three minutes. He had a timeout to use and never called it.

I was thinking today the most fitting Super Bowl matchup for the NFL's 100th season would be Green Bay/Kansas City - the first Super Bowl matchup in 1967. That is the one I want.

That would be a fitting game and a good one I think win an QB on the backside of a HOF career and QB just beginning his HOF career.

KC or the Texans have their hands full?
