It has been a “can of worms” or “house of cards” for some time. I was in the “they’re getting a education” camp for a long time. This as in other things in our changing society have been tainted/spoiled by greed. That’s why I have likened the issue to a game of musical chairs. The big time NCAA programs are rolling in funds. It’s similar to the income disparity in the real world. Something is going to give....

This idea is not going to alter "income disparity" for the better.

The pendulum always swings too far in the other direction when things get out of balance. Applies to many arenas, imo.

While a few top schools actually make money from their sports programs (like the University of Texas and Ohio State) most schools are incurring a net loss from their sports programs. Allowing a few players from a few teams to make varying amounts of money on the side is not going to alter that bigger picture. IMHO, if a few NCAA players are going to be paid then it should be shared with at least their whole team, if not with all NCAA athletes at that school.
