College Football 2019

Three dropped passes on opening drive followed by a muffed punt. Then two wide open receivers who fromm could not even get the ball close to and a missed FG. None of that matters who LSU has on the field.

You dont know what you are talking about.

If they played ten times, LSU would win nine. They have better players.

If I were selecting, I'd still keep OSU at No.1. Why? Because Wisconsin is quite a bit better than Georgia.

Going into last night, Georgia was #4 with only one loss. Wisconsin was at 8 with two. In no objective way is Wisconsin "quite a bit better" than GA.

The only argument I saw that justified OSU as a number one is that they beat more top 25 teams than LSU, and by a wider margin/point differential. Beyond that, not really.

Beating Bama in Tuscaloosa, with their starting QB still on the field, that is what takes LSU over the top, IMO.

Now, maybe an argument can be made that Clemson does not deserve the 3-seed. But, they are National Champions and sitting there with a 13-0 record does take away the doubt about their worthiness over the fact that they have yet to play anyone of value.

My opinion is based entirely on the eye test. Wisconsin looks able to handle Georgia without too much trouble.

OK, like I predicted, 1. LSU, 2. OSU, 3. Clemson, 4. Oklahoma. Makes sense.

Go Clemson!

lol....we have about 10 Ohio boys working on an install in a plant near Clemson. Should be fun being them over the next few weeks.

They sure were last night! But OSU really messed up in the first half with a fantastic comeback in the second. They deserve #2. The top three teams are all exceptional. Neither LSU or OSU wanted to play Clemson in the semi-finals but it looks like OSU is going to be the lucky one. Go Bucks!

Speculation from a guy who knows little.

Come on, don't be condescending. The other user has a right to his opinion. Besides, that's why they play the game. The games are around the corner and will settle this controversy. The best one will prevail. Then we'll see if you are right, or if the other user is, without the need to belittle a fellow sports fan, here.

By the way, it seems like the consensus supports his opinion rather than yours. In all three polls - the Committee's, the AP's, and the Coaches' - LSU came ahead of OSU. So, do all these learned specialists (coaches, officials, seasoned sports journalists) also "know little"?

I don't see any big outcry from virtually all analysts and pundits, protesting that LSU was considered to be better than OSU by most people. I'd say, only OSU fans at this point will be of this opinion.

But like I said before, it hardly matters. Much more important is to make the playoffs, and both LSU and OSU did. It's not like there is home field advantage in being #1 like in the NFL. To win the national championship you have to win two games against the other top teams, regardless of whether you're ranked #1, #2, #3, or #4. If your OSU is as good as you think, then they will beat Clemson, and next they will beat LSU. We'll see.

I'm rather certain that if Alabama would have beaten Auburn at Auburn, even without Tua they would have been the
#4 entry. Furthermore, even with their backup QB IMO Alabama is a better team than Oklahoma. Those 4 wide receivers
are Sunday stars when their college careers end.

I busted that guy early in the game talking out of his ass not knowing what he was saying so he just wanted to do a drive by to troll me with a salt on the wound comment.

So true. I see absolutely no way that GA is better than LSU. I seriously doubt the Dawgs beat the Tigers more than once in a 10-game set.

I don't even think the Buckeyes can beat them if they played 95% flawlessly, like they did against Michigan. LSU is the real deal.

The LSU qb pretty much beat uga alone. It helped that uga had countless dropped passes and horrible throws that kept them churning 3 and outs. Playing LSU will be a matter of the best defense is staying on offense and keeping that QB on the bench.

Yep, and the way Coan carved up OSU in the first half Saturday, I worry about the Clemson QB too. Ohio's secondary looked pitiful.

Sorry you feel that way. That was certainly not my intent. I just don't think Georgia was good enough.

LSU by two TD over OK

Clemson by 7 over the Bucks.

It will be a Tiger championship.

Joe Burrow won the Heisman in a historical landslide. Well deserved. He thanked his linemen first, which is classy. He is an outstanding athlete and a nice young man with good values and demeanor. I'm no LSU fan but I respect Joe Burrow. I wish him a great NFL career. If my team could draft him, it would be a dream (we do need a QB).

Big day for college football this Saturday. LSU vs. Oklahoma at 4:00 on ESPN

Buckeyes vs. Tigers at 8:00 on ESPN.

According to the ESPN power index they give LSU 67.2% win over Sooners 32.8%

They have OSU at 54.4% over Clemson 45.6%.

As crazy as this year has been, anything could happen.

Buckeyes better play defense in the first half this time. Clemson can put points on the board.

Clemson 42, Buckeyes 23 would not surprise me.

35-7, LSU in the 2nd Q. Game one is a sleeper.

Go Bucks!

Oklahoma is getting hammered. LSU has racked up 49 points and it is just halftime. OU-14

LSU is a machine. Buckeyes might be lucky to lose tonight and avoid tremendous embarrassment next week :(

Bucks offense came to play.
