College Football 2019

I just read that #1 Clemson barely won their game against North Carolina by one point. I didn't watch the game and am curious was it because North Carolina played really played an exceptional game or Clemson played really bad.

From what I read a little good luck for NC and lethargic play by the Tigers had a lot to do with it.

Ohio State is crushing cupcakes like the Dolphins lose NFL games.

17-0 OSU over Nebraska early in the 2nd.

Score is OSU 24 to Nebraska 0 and there is still 6 minutes left in 2nd quarter. OSU has intercepted a couple of passes and scored.

Just minutes later OSU scores again OSU 31 Nebraska 0

Halftime OSU 38 Nebraska 0 I feel bad for Nebraska.

Final score OSU 48 Nebraska 7. I was glad to see Nebraska get on the board late in the third. But I think coach Day by that time put the second string in to play. In the 4th the second string played the entire time. They didn't score during the fourth quarter but they did a good job of keeping Wisconsin from scoring. Tonight was a big deal for the second string to play the entire 4th quarter of a game being televised during primetime.

A bit of a Freudian slip to write "Wisconsin" instead of "Nebraska" I suspect.

Clemson had some similar games last year. They just do not seem to get inspired in the cupcake games. They are saving most of it for the likely repeat matchup against Alabama in the playoff.

Ohio State may be the bigger threat.

That game--especially being hyped as national TV worthy--is why I hate college football. There are far too many games where the other team does not even belong on the field.

How could anyone tell? They are playing high school teams.

A true college football fan can tell, however they will be more tested later in the season.

Such teams never improve if they never face tough competition. It's part of college football. And those cupcake teams gain in other ways such as a big payout (percentage of ticket sales, etc that enable them to make improvements to their facilities and improve their football programs.

If Auburn beats Florida at the swamp tomorrow watch out Alabama. Already they knocked off 2 preseason top 10 teams.
Bo Nix the #1 rated high school QB has not disappointed & that could be the final piece in the puzzle to go along with
maybe the best defense in the country.

OSU's schedule is ranked the 12th toughest. That's higher than either Alabama or Clemson, but behind Georgia, 9th.

That’s exactly the problem with college football. The top 25 bake in at least six 49-7 games.

As a diehard Alabama fan, I am always concerned about Auburn, especially when the game is played in Jordan Hare Stadium at Auburn as it will be this season. Auburn plays us in the Iron Bowl as if it were the championship game. However I do not over worry about their quarterback. Alabama has a Heisman level quarterback and a stellar offense. My only concern is how well our young defense will fare that late in the season. In any case, we do not take the game with Auburn lightly.

Yeah... that home field advantage can sure help! How 'bout dem GATORS today? I feel your pain Auburn fans! You have beat the Gators plenty of times before!

Tonight, we Gator fans celebrate!

Yes. Great game for the Gators today. I don't think I have seen them this good since Tim Tebow was their quarterback and Urban Meyers was their coach.

lol...Ohio State finally sees a non-cupcake, and it's a 3-0 game in the second Q.

It's 10 -0 and it is still the second quarter
