As opposed to the oversaturation of "reality" tv shows which exist? Or talking about who died on The Walking Dead this week?

What I find is hilarious are the ignorant people who think wrestling fans do not understand pro wrestling is scripted, yet will wax on and on about their favorite TV shows and movies, as if it is a completely different art medium.

There are A LOT of adult professional wrestling fans who think that it is not scripted. I’m not saying you, or anyone on here are among them, but there are many of them.

You are making this up. Try moving out of the 1970s and into current day. Most, if not all, wrestling fans who do not suffer from a serious mental disability knows it is scripted. The WWE themselves acknowledge that from time to time.

It is obvious you do not know of which you speak. I suggest you bow out.

And many of these reality shows are also scripted IMHO. And the people in those reality shows are really (overall) talentless hacks or simply chosen for their looks. Nobody will choose Aleister Black for his looks LOL

Most reality TV show stars are not talented at much of anything. Is it fake? Yes, the results are decided beforehand. Is it spectacular? Often it is. But it is still more exiting than most reality tv shows.

So we’re just comparing it to reality TV shows? That’s a low bar, and I don’t watch those either.

But the people who pretend that pro wrestling is an actual sport are ridiculous. There’s no denying that.

How about way, way, way too long?
I ordered one of the early Wrestlemanias---early 90's maybe---Macho Man vs Hulk Hogan maybe---and the show went on for hours and hours.
My kids, who had begged me to order it, wandered off after a couple of hours.
I continued to watch in order to get my money's worth......hey.....$39.95 doesn't grow on trees, right?
Say what you will about McMahon and WWE(F)...but you definitely get bang for the buck.
Whatever happened to that nice Bobby (The Brain) Heenan?

Maybe the number of serious injuries incurred by the participants is indicative of the taxing nature of this sport/event.

Oh I don’t deny for one second that pro wrestlers are physically taking real hits and getting pounded. They absolutely are. But scripting and choreography take away from its legitimacy, just a little.

More like a lot, but since it's all in fun and 99.9% of the audience knows this ....who cares?
