Nfl 2019

49'ers lost their best LB Kwon Alexander for the season. You can argue he is their best player on defense, probably more like 3-4 but that is a big blow.

That made the end a bit more interesting, but 49'ers still won.
I actually like them. It's just that when you are kind of neutral beyond some mild likes and dislikes, it's no fun to root for the top dog.

Seahawks just claimed Josh Gordon.

This is a gamble. Loaded with talent and loaded with problems.

Didn't work out with Pats and now he will come to the NW.

I guess only time will tell.

I am not even talking about his addiction but he does not have a good work ethic, is lazy, and didn't always show up on time for meetings.

“He was showing signs of undependability,” Curran said.

Curran also said that Gordon was having issues with showing up late to team meetings, coaches having a hard time finding him and that he simply wasn’t displaying the work ethic that Bill Belichick expected of him. It didn’t help that he was nursing multiple injuries and his on-field play dwindled in comparison to last year.

Report: Josh Gordon’s work ethic was a growing concern for Patriots

IMO a poor work ethic is a killer. Even head cases like Terrell Owens, Antonio Brown, and Randy Moss had top-notch work ethics.

Wow! No wonder I quit watching this crap.

Neither Jag touched Watson, but yet--flag and 15 yards.

I saw that when it happened , even the announcers were amazed, 1 said pretty soon the NFL will be reviewing every play.

I fear he might be right.

It didn't take long for that shine to wear off, now did it?

Once again, the Browns will likely fire their gm and coach. At least they left a talented team.

They need to go all-in on Urban Meyer.

Ravens hand the Pats their first loss. 49ers are the only remaining unbeaten team.

I guess this Pat defense isn't on the same level as the 2000 Ravens, or the 1985 Bears or the 70's Steelers... lol

That's what happens when they actually had to play a good team.

Jets lose to the Dolphins.. NY sports talk radio is going to be fun today. And the Jets were suppose to be a playoff team this year, instead they may get the #1 draft pick... lol

Mayfield needs to pay more attention to football and do less commercials.

Bears are still a mess. I think I've wrote that a few times this year. But then every NFC North team lost yesterday.

Steelers got lucky, but to be fair the officiating at the end of that game was also AWFUL!!! 2 terrible calls that were reviewed and should have been overturned, but of course were not. Again, why have these PI reviews if NY is NEVER going to overturn the bad on-field calls? Seems like every week calls are affecting game outcomes.

The 1st half of the Packers game I may not have ever seen a team look as bad as the Packers did. I think the whole team, especially Rodgers, were out partying the night before. They were TERRIBLE!! At half time they had something like 50 yds, TOTAL offense.

Seeing that the Chargers beat the Pack looks strange. Ravens are good. So, I get that so-called upset. Jets stink. Bears can’t score.Lions are just awful. Vikings can’t seem to get it together. Browns are the Browns after all.

On the up: Buffalo. Are they a playoff team? Sure looks likely.

Bill always struggles vs mobile QB's, its his kryptonite. I'm not looking too much into this defeat as it was bound to happen eventually.

I don't want to nit pick but Eli Manning's Giants beat the Pats twice in the SB, and Eli is/was far from mobile.

Anyway I think the Pats are the best team in the AFC, but lets be honest. Except for the Bills(and the jury is still out on them) the Pats 1st 8 games were against very weak competition...

This. The Pats havent had a major test all season until now, and it looks like theyre mortal.

Lions offence is not awful. They had 400 yards passing. They lit the Raiders D like Christmas tree on fire. One more yard they would have tied or won the game. Their defense on the other hand couldn't stop a team of two year old tots.

Mortal to the Ravens perhaps. Not to the rest of the NFL except the Giants. The Ravens QB makes every D look mortal. His speed is killer against typical defense played in the NFL.

They didn't lose because of Eli though, they got suffocated by two very good defenses. Last night actually reminded me when Colin kap destroyed us in Boston ( was at the game), just couldn't handle him that night.

I don't disagree about the weak schedule however I think the entire AFC is pretty weak this year. For as good as Lamar was last night we both know it will be a very different game come January.

The problem with the Patriots is that they lack the ability to run the ball up the middle. They lost two great blockers in Gronk and Devlin and lost their center.

When Wynn comes back at LT, that will help pass protection, but this team is flawed offensively.

Feb 2, 2020 will have two teams competing. I be hard pressed as of right now to even try to predict who they might be.

There are a handful of teams that we all know won't be in that game but nobody looks like they have a reservation called in for them.

The 49ers are the only team without a loss. The next 4 weeks will be very telling when they have to play the Seahawks, Packers, and the Ravens.

What's the lifespan of an NFL running-back? 4-5 years? If the Ravens keep using Jackson like like a RB like they are now, in a few years he'll be done. Even yesterday he took a few hard shots. Harbaugh being Harbaugh I'm sure he don't give a rats ass, but I can't see Jackson taking that kind of beating more than 4-5 years.

RGIII comes to mind. The guy could be toast in a year.

Michael Vick even slowed down, long before the dog thing took him out of the game for a few years. Speedy feet is not an attribute one wants in an NFL QB. Quick release--now that is the ticket.

You forgot Colin Kaepernick

Give me a QB with quick release and a no huddle offense and you will have defense coaches going insane.

As for the Ravens this could be a power keg year if Jackson remains healthy. It has become like they have an extra player on offense. Effective but oh so risky.
