Hell of a price to pay for nothing though. The Raiders basically gave away two draft picks to the Steelers for nothing. It's the second year in a row Gruden's team got fleeced.
They actually made money technically on the deal if I am not mistaken, Brown owes the team $200,000+ in fines. As for the picks I believe the Raiders will get compensatory ones, though I don't know the details.
Brown has taken the diva act to a whole new level and I think the team just realized that and I suspect that's why the players went to Gruden and said they support whatever action is taken. I don't think the players really wanted Brown on the team that badly after all the BS and questions they were getting. While Brown would have improved production for our other receivers I don't think there is going to that much of a loss in production especially in comparison to production last year. Carr has some speed to work with and some good solid receivers and I suspect he can make that work. The loss of Brown may be a blessing in disguise as teams may not double team any of our receivers. We shall see. I think we will break even on the win total this year at least, and with a little luck make the playoffs.
