Nfl 2019

The answer is neither: The Bears. Watch them this offseason overpay for a kicker.

I'll still take them over the biggest criminal organization in the NFL: the Patriots.

that's not how one spells "successful"

It’s a fantastic pickup. Would you pick up Danny amendola as well if he’s cheap?
I think they already have an Amednola in Edelman. They need a deep threat. Hopefully they get Gordon back at some time with his mind finally right. Id really love to see that guy overcome his personal demons. But if not they need to find someone that can stretch the defenses.

h8rs gonna h8....it must be a new year in the NFL. The Patriots will once again be contenders and Da Bears will still suck.

And is that's why the bears are preparing to give the Patriots kicker a record-setting contract? LOL

Most criminal enterprises are sucessful, until the law catches up with them...

Kickers are a dime a dozen. I'll be all smiles when Kraft gets his wrinkly ass hauled to jail.

Jail time for consensual sex... wow.

Antonio Brown just ended what could have been a spectacular career - it's all just money for him now with limited to no success on the field. What's missed by many if not most is that Ben Roethlisberger has made a career out of making talented receivers stars in the league and then, when their egos and demands get too big for the Steelers, those receivers go to other teams and become irrelevant. Just look back at all the talented receivers who've left the Steelers for bigger pay days and then virtually disappeared.

Big Ben is the reason that Brown has had so many special catches over the years - putting those throws where few other QBs ever could and giving Brown the chance to haul them in. It's why Big Ben demanded much of Brown in practice and why JJ Smith-Schuster became Big Ben's number one target this past year - Brown decided he didn't have to work for it any more and JJ was all for putting in the time.

The Steelers are happy to get rid of Brown and Bell - while the two are elite talents, football is a team game and those two are no longer team players. Many are claiming that the Steelers will regress this year - don't count on it. I'm expecting a big year for them with the distractions gone, the young talent continuing to develop, and the kicking game getting back to being as dependable as it has been over the years.

And the two draft picks the Steelers got for Brown - not first rounders, but the Steelers have drafted a lot of superior talent in lower rounds over the years and I expect they'll continue to do the same. Can't wait for the season to start.

The Steelers have a great 2nd year WR coming back in JuJu. I guess they are still stuck paying the cap-hit on Brown though. Which kind of sucks.

They won't miss the Diva in the lockerroom. I wouldn't want him. And, the Raiders are a perfect fit for a guy like that.

I guess it makes sense that you have to take SOME element of joy from the misfortune of others. Your team damn sure isnt providing it any time soon. ;)

Let's just remember this fact: Le'Veon Bell chose to give up his paycheck to NOT play with the Steelers. Antonio Brown was willing to sit out and forfeit his money to NOT play with the Steelers.

Big Ben is a player on the decline who thew a rapid number of int's last year. Given his age and his lack of weapons, he has 1 foot already into retirement.

It looks like it may have been the Steelers' plan all along to move on from AB.

Brown is the top end though...the exception to the rule. He has only had two minor injuries in his career (unless I am mis-remembering) and probably has shown no sign of decreased capacity. Id say 4-5 years as a top tier receiver is not out of the question. His problem now though is he is going to a team that is unlikely to have the tools to be able to exploit his talent. If he was pissed at Rothlesberger...one can only imagine how he will respond to being on the receiving end of Carrs ducks.

mmmm we will see how Ju Ju does without Brown.

SO long to the burg....

I just cannot understand what Jon Gruden is doing with the Raiders.

Elite pass rush is arguably the #2 most important position on the team. Traded away a sure thing (Khalil Mack) for lottery tickets.

Elite #1 WR is among the top 5 most important positions on the team. Traded away a sure thing (Amari Cooper) for lottery tickets.

Now they pick up a >30 y/o WR for $16MM? That's about $3MM MORE than what the Cowboys are paying for Cooper!

I get trying to load up on draft picks, but what's the point of draft picks if not to acquire great talent? So why trade away great talent you already have, in exchange for the hope of getting great talent from the draft? It just boggles my mind trying to make sense of this.

Still should have got more for him.

Jack Hayes ignores the fact a lot of wrs play very well into their mid to late 30's - Anquan Boldin, Jerry Rice, Tim Brown, Cris Carter, Terrell Owens, Randy Moss, Larry Fitzgerald, KeyShawn Johnson, etc... etc..

A few points;

Amari Cooper isn't an elite #1 WR. He can't hold a candle to Antonio Brown.

Amari Cooper career numbers:

278 receptions
3,098 yards
25 tds

Antonio Brown:

837 receptions
11,207 yards
74 tds

Saying the Raiders made a mistake for trading away a sure thing to get lesser value is like saying the 49'ers traded away a sure thing in Brian Hoyer to get lesser value in Jimmy G.

Also, the Raiders got a late first round pick for Amari Cooper.

The Raiders traded away a 3rd and 5th round pick for Brown.

Brown > Cooper. It is not even close from a football perspective. If you want to talk about being a good teammate, that is an entirely different subject.

Very few people do well when going to the Raiders. Lately its the place to go watch your career fade away.

Sort of like joining the Lakers.
