I can see that POV.. BUT it may be that Brady waited too long to hold the Pats feet to the fire.. He's 42, by the start of next season he'll be 43.. So even a fat 2 year deal now he'll be 45.. 45 when that contract will end..... The Pats might just be saying, thanks for the memories Tom, but paying you until you're 45? It's time for us to move on..
Brady should have pushed for top QB dollar in 2018 with his last contract. Him pushing Jimmy G out the door didn't help any of this either.
Agreed he should have pushed for top Dollar back in 2018, the stuff with Jimmy G however is a tough one. Jimmy I'm sure was starting to get restless and if you believe the rumours Bill wanted Jimmy to be the starter going forward however after they traded him Brady went on to be the league MVP and led the Patriots to two SB appearances winning one and breaking records in the one he lost.
