Redskins Off Season 2019

I’d love the redskins to make the SB just to witness Gladiator lose his mind. Proper fan and i love it

Alex Smith is done, imo. His only endorsement that I have seen, is for a gas fireplace company. There both print and television ads. Shortly after the season, Alex stopped being featured in the ads........

So what is happening with Josh Johnson, QB, San Diego?

The Redskins were awarded four compensatory draft picks, getting extra selections in the third, fifth, sixth and seventh rounds, according to a list obtained by ESPN's Adam Schefter. Washington now has nine draft choices; the Redskins traded their fourth-round pick to Green Bay for safety HaHa Clinton-Dix and used a sixth-round selection in the supplemental draft on corner Adonis Alexander. The Redskins lost multiple players who signed big contracts elsewhere in free agency last season including quarterback Kirk Cousins. His loss, plus the absence of any big-time signing, is why Washington has the third-round pick.

The Redskins and the Raiders are very interested in trading for Antonio Brown. Should be interesting since both teams are coached by a Gruden.

The Raiders would probably be the best fit. The Redskins don't have cap space and no QB.

I would prefer for the Redskins to pass on AB.

[h=1]Sources: Raiders among 3 most interested in AB[/h]Although other teams could emerge, the belief right now is that the Raiders, Redskins and Titans are the most likely landing spots for receiver Antonio Brown, sources told ESPN's Adam Schefter.

[h=1]John KeimESPN Staff Writer [/h]In looking at Domonique Rodgers-Cromartie's contract with Washington, he's clearly no lock to make the final roster. There's no guaranteed money, which means the Redskins could cut him with no penalty. He won't make a dime unless he makes the 53-man roster. If he does, he'll receive a $45,000 bonus and then have a base salary of $1.03 million. In New York, Rodgers-Cromartie had a good reputation for how he dealt with the young defensive backs. Considering Washington has three corners entering their second year that should help. Josh Norman is not that sort of mentor for the young players. If one of those young corners, notably Adonis Alexander, shows great improvement -- or if they somehow drafted a corner in the early rounds -- the Redskins could always move on from Norman and his $14.5 million cap hit with veteran insurance. Such talk is premature and also relies on Rodgers-Cromartie having something to offer. For now, he's just a low-cost signing.

Don't see where Bruce Allen has improved the offensive line, or otherwise improved protection for the quarterback.

"The Buffalo Bills have had a strong offseason thus far, and they have now added another offensive lineman to the mix.

According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, the Bills intend to sign former Washington Redskins offensive tackle Ty Nsekhe. Mike Garafolo reports that he will receive a two-year deal worth up to $14.5 million with $7.7 million in guarantees.

Nsekhe has spent the past four seasons with the Redskins

The Redskins voluntary offseason workouts begin April 15 and the organized team activity sessions are as follows: May 20-21, 23; May 28-30; June 10-12. Their mandatory minicamp is June 4-6. The Redskins had always held their minicamp after the OTAs. A handful of other teams will conduct a minicamp before their final OTA session as well, including New England.

"Washington has added a second former AAF player to its 90-man roster.

Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that the team has signed guard Salesi Uhatafe. They signed defensive lineman Andrew Ankrah last week.

Uhatafe played for the Utah Stallions in the AAF before the league closed its doors last week. Joining the Stallions gave Uhatafe a chance to return to his collegiate stomping grounds as he went to the University of Utah.

"Offensive Lineman Ereck Flowers (March 18)

The Washington Redskins bolstered their offensive line unit on Monday with the signing of Ereck Flowers.

Flowers, 24, is in his fifth NFL season since the New York Giants drafted him ninth overall in the 2015 NFL Draft. He spent his first four-plus seasons in New York and then joined the Jacksonville Jaguars in October of the 2018 season. The 6-foot-6, 334-pound offensive tackle has played in 59 games (55 starts) over his career."

[h=1]John KeimESPN Staff Writer [/h]The Redskins begin voluntary offseason workouts Monday, which means it's the first chance for safety Landon Collins and quarterback Case Keenum, among others, to be around their new teammates. It's also why it was important that linebacker Reuben Foster's situation was finalized Friday so he, too, could work out with his new teammates -- and a lot of old ones from his Alabama days. Because Foster was on the commissioner's exempt list he would have been prevented from participating in these workouts. But the league removed him from that list Friday and announced he would only be fined two games and not suspended. The Redskins will have their OTA workouts May 20-21, 23; May 28-30 and June 10-12. The mandatory minicamp will be from June 4-6.

According to Redskins beat writer Grant Paulsen, team owner Daniel Snyder has "taken over the first round of the draft" for Washington, which means things could get crazy. The last time Snyder decided to take things into his own hands came in 2012, when the Redskins mortgaged their future to trade up and grab Robert Griffin III with the second overall pick. In that deal, Washington sent three first-round selections (2012, 2013 and 2014) to the Rams, along with a 2012 second-round selection, so they could move up and get RG3.

It's worth noting that the Redskins have denied Paulsen's report, although NFL.com seemed to agree with some of it by pointing out that Snyder will have the most power in the Redskins' war room on Thursday.

Wow, talk about a team in turmoil.

Not really. Got Haskins without moving up, and made a nice move for a first round edge rusher.

Who says Dwayne Haskins is even a first-round caliber QB? Only one year as a starter, no mobility, a lot of baby fat, comes from a program that does not really produce NL Qbs...

He could be the next Byron Leftwich.

Mel Kiper Jr.: Haskins is the most accurate passer in this class, and he's a natural touch thrower. He's going to sit in the pocket and drop dimes. He's raw -- he started only one season at Ohio State -- but he could be a star, and he was No. 7 overall on my board.
