Re: Nba 2018-19

No Durant on that team.

Note that my point clearly required a healthy Durant.

Fair enough - but as I stated previously, the Raptors beat the Warriors in their only two games this year, both with Durant playing and one without Leonard playing.

Re: Nba 2018-19

Another bad start for the Raptors tonight, but they are surprising me with their will to win this year - I credit Leonard completely with creating that mindset and determination. He's truly this year's playoff MVP and if he'd played more games during the year, I'm sure he would have been in the running for the regular season honors too.

It's not over - and God knows we Raptor's fans and Toronto fans in general have had our share of disappointments over the years - but it's looking promising.

Re: Nba 2018-19

Forget about this boring NBA playoffs. The ratings are in the tank.

The king of the NBA LeBron is recruiting Kawhi and Jimmy Butler:

"From what I understand, he has already begun the recruiting process," said Brian Windhorst. "I have heard he has had contact with Kawhi Leonard. I have heard he has had contact with Jimmy Butler. There's no tampering enforcement by players.

LeBron James Has Been Recruiting Kawhi Leonard, Jimmy Butler - RealGM Wiretap

The Lakers are worth over $5 billion. Sell out every home game. The #1 team on social media. If LeBron talks, Kawhi will listen.

3-2 rapts looks pretty good.

Re: Nba 2018-19

LeBron isn’t who you think he is anymore

I'm using your exact words. You said if LeBron were still in Cleveland they would be in the NBA Finals. That means he is still better than Giannis, Kawhi, and Joel Embiid.

Unless you didn't mean what you said, you did indeed post that LeBron's presence alone would have elevated a non-playoff Cavs team to the finals.

And the NBA is suffering. Ratings have fallen off the cliff. If the Raptors win, are they going to 24 Sussex Drive and be honored by the Canadian Prime Minister?

Pathetic.

At least Milwaukee has beer and cheese. You can count on Packers players showing up getting drunk.

The Raptors have some clown fan giving neck massages to the team's coach!

Of course. He had a team he was used to in a city that loved him. No injury either since the East is a cakewalk.

Milwaukee, due to inexperience, would have lost to the LeBrons...Kawhi however may have beaten him. But, we will never know.

Canadian team in the finals will be devastating to ESPN/ABC because all Canadian fans watch on C-TV.

I'm rooting for it. :)

Without the league manipulating the results of games so that LeBron can be in the finals, the play in this year's playoffs has been far better and more interesting. The league's new stars are flashing their talents.

LeBron is yesterday's news and star players in the league will have little interest in following the NBA's cancer to the Lakers and joining the train wreck he's created.

And just as a side note, I always assume you can't be as dumb as your comments here, but then you go an prove me wrong. Guess what? The Raptor's fan base is about 35 million - any other team in the NBA with that level of support? And the Canadian networks do just fine with audiences, regardless of who's playing but especially when the Raptors are in contention. But I do appreciate that in your xenophobic universe no one else exists.

When it comes to crying about the Lakers, it's literally the 80's and 90's calling to say they want their NBA back.

Notice, Raptors fans are sticking out their chests and boasting AFTER LeBron leaves the eastern conference. :lamo

Do we forget the fact LeBron beat the Raptors like a drum? Did they even win 1 game last year?

2018 - Cavs sweep the Raptors in the semis
2017 - Cavs sweep the Raptors in the semis
2016 - Cavs beat the Raptors 4-2 in the conf. finals

Oh btw beating the Warriors in the regular season means absolutely nothing.

At least his team MADE the playoffs during the past six years. I know whose team didn't.

LOL! How many finals appearances?

And the eastern conference is weaker. Making the playoffs in the east is like the 10th best team in the west.

Next.....

Six years no Lakers in the playoffs, and they were the first team to fail WITH LeBron on their team in a decade.

You have no room to talk about the Rapts, who've made the playoffs every year the Lakers have not.

Firstly, the Raptors have tried to build a team the old fashioned way - drafting and trading and signing the occasional free agent. LeBron James won nothing himself - he played like a spoiled brat his first go round in Cleveland, quitting on his team when things didn't go his way and then he had to go to Dwayne Wade's team to win a championship, bringing along Chris Bosh with him in order to stack a team so he could win. Then, back to Cleveland, demanding the team trade away it's number one draft choice in order to get a player he wanted and then getting the coach canned so he could run that show too, only to win one championship, with all that manipulation, over years, in that so called weak eastern conference. (Funny, you never talk about the weak AFC east when you bloviate about your Cheatriots, but suddenly you're all butt hurt about where a team is situated)

Again, LeBron takes his circus to LA and he wins dick all because he doesn't have other players to make him look good. And as I've said, LeBron is yesterday's news - the NBA is moving on to better players and better teams - time for LeBron to smell the coffee and realize his time in the NBA sunshine is over.

More nonsense - the two best teams in the NBA this past regular season are in the eastern conference, playing in the conference finals right now. Both of those teams had significant winning records against the western conference, Portland wouldn't have made it past the first round in the east this year, and yet they got to the western conference finals.

Durant may not play and, even if he does, he will not be 100%. Iggy will also either be out or playing hurt.

Curry probably does not average over 35 points against the Rapts. And, Green probably does not dominate them in the paint like he did the Blazers. Klay Thompson may be the deciding factor. That man is good, and severely underrated.

Rapts over the wounded Warriors is not out of the question.

I'm indifferent, but I take 538 seriously.

Reports already have Durant out of game 1, and that is nearly a week away. Without KD, Warriors are just another team.

Re: Nba 2018-19

Rapts just came back to tie it early in the 4th. 78 each. Nice.

Re: Nba 2018-19

Wow! Congrats Raptors.

We have a Canadian team in the finals.
