Re: Nba 2018-19

The Blazers cannot beat the Warriors. Evan Turner who doesn't average double-digit points or can shoot well makes about $17 million a year. They would be really good with a Kawhi or Durant however no free agent will take the Blazers seriously.

More seriously than the Lakers.

Re: Nba 2018-19

Not Surprising. I guess Kanter doesn't have to worry about being arrested in Canada.

No one has to worry about Canada, not even ESPN/ABC sports which would have taken a huge hit with Toronto in the finals.

Re: Nba 2018-19

O/T in T-Town. Looks to me like Raps blew a nice lead in the 4th.

Re: Nba 2018-19

Hats off to the Raps. It looks like they pulled it off: 116-110, with less than 10 seconds to go in double O/T.

Re: Nba 2018-19

O/T no matter; Warriors sweep!

It's sorta like watching a cat play with a mouse,, The mouse almost reaches the hole when "bam" the cat smacks him down again

The Blazers are a terrible matchup for the warriors. The Blazers two guards play zero defense.

Re: Nba 2018-19

Raps just made it a series. Good deal.

Re: Nba 2018-19

Good on the Raptors for winning for themselves, proving they're a better team than they showed in game two in Milwaukee, and a better team than the Bucks. Clearly, they're a strong defensive team but when they show up offensively, they are capable of beating anyone, any time. They slayed the so called unbeatable Bucks who never lose 2 games in a row and what tonight's win mostly does is put the pressure on the Bucks back home to show up and that's often tough for a team who's short on players with big game experience. Raps big game experience is a little dodgy, but they do have the experience to know what's needed.

Anyone doubts that Leonard is the East playoff MVP is nuts - Curry has been awesome in the West, but Leonard seems to be really hurt and still sucking it up and dominating. If he can physically make it, I'd love to see the Raps/Warriors matchup - not at all a given who wins that series. Bucks would be toast.

Lowry has stood tall. Clearly Leonard’s team, but the help is what did it the past two games.

And the Raptors/Bucks have zero shot against the Warriors.

With Durant not being 100%?

Far better than a "0-shot."

With Durant healthy, I doubt the Bucks & Rapts could beat them, even with a combined roster.

Raptors beat them twice in the regular season with Durant in the lineup for both and Leonard and Curry out for one of the games. Playoffs are obviously different and the Warriors have the benefit of being in the finals for 5 straight years, but nothing in sports is ever a guaranteed 100% certainty.

Warriors have been unbeatable when they try.

Re: Nba 2018-19

I could say the same about the Raptors. Only times they've lost this year is when they weren't really trying.

After winning 3 of 4 titles, we know which team really wasn't though.

Re: Nba 2018-19

He's really no different than Spike Lee and the Knicks or Jack Nickelson and the Lakers. In fact, since he's an official representative of the Raptors, he's more like a Mark Cuban.

Not a Drake fan and not a fan of his antics, but listening to talk of his courtside behavior is better than listening to talk of him being a jinx to every team he's ever supported.

The NBA is all about the "celebrity" involvement so, unless there's a Canada bias in the NBA head office, this is basically a non-story and will be ignored.

Just inferring it was a dumb comment regardless of which team it refers to. And just to be clear, if I'm not mistaken, those Warriors lost three in a row to the Cavs in the finals when they were defending champs and up 3-1 a couple of years back, so I guess they got bored with winning and stopped trying, right?

No Durant on that team.

Note that my point clearly required a healthy Durant.

Absolutely childish behavior. The NBA should either consider banning him from courtside or fining the team. The Chicago Cubs banished a fan of the team for giving an okay hand symbol. Drake is being hostile towards the opposing players. This is cheating! If I were Adam Silver I would banish Drake from all Raptors games or start fining the Raptors.

Integrity means something. I wouldn't be surprised if the Raptors are in cahoots together.

Re: Nba 2018-19

YAWN

The NBA playoffs have been a snoozefest. Now we have to have a team from Canada represent the NBA or a team where politicians do not even go to even if it cost them elections.

he Athletic’s Richard Deitsch detailed that Game 2 between the Bucks and Raptors averaged 4.39 million viewers on TNT, down 48 percent year-over-year from when the LeBron James-led Cleveland Cavaliers squared off against the Boston Celtics in 2018.

Raptors-Bucks series leads to massive dip in TV ratings

Down 48%!!!

The most exciting thing about the Raptor is their clown ambassador at courtside!

Comparing Drake with Spike Lee and/or Jack Nickelson is laughable.

OMG!

This from the Cheatriot's cheerleader - that's pretty rich.

The NBA could fine Drake and/or the Raptors, since Drake is "officially" a Raptor's Ambassador. Wouldn't bother me, since I'm not a fan of his antics, as I originally stated. But to call it cheating is just your usual level of nonsense. There's a fan in Milwaukee who spends his entire time heckling the opposing players in a worse way than Drake does - Drake is just more visible, partially because he's otherwise famous. Otherwise famous is what the NBA loves - they love when the cameras pan to celebrities in the crowd at there games. It's also why they have courtside seats right up next to the playing surface.

I know - Drake has made more money in a couple of years than either Spike Lee or Jack have made in a career. But then, I wasn't comparing them personally, just comparing their actions courtside at NBA games. I grant you that Spike and Jack are old buggers now, so not as actively engaged, but they were pretty active on the court when younger.
