Re: Nba 2018-19

Nah. The MVP's is Stephen Curry's to win.

He'll break down again, miss 30 games, and then come back around playoff time to collect another easy ring.

GS over Boston in 5.

Re: Nba 2018-19

1. That is why he's there: Hollywood. But, for now, the best way to open that door is to "shut up and dribble."

2. "Half" may have been hyperbole on my part, but I see Ball, Rondo and McGee being gone. And, I'd list a few more, if I knew their names.

3. NBA MVP is a funny award. Rare is the guy getting it the guy who earned it that particular year. LeBron took a lottery team to four consecutive finals. Lost one because his two best guys were hurt, lost two more because the Warriors brought in Durant, after losing one to LeBron, and became a "Superteam" that no one could beat. But yet, during not one of those years did they give him the MVP.

4. I think age will show just enough this year to keep him from doing for the Lakers what he did for Cleveland.

5. So does Hollywood.

Time for you to eat crow. The Lakers are playing shortly!!!

Are you seriously going to believe that LA can beat GS? They won't even beat the Thunder, the Spurs, or Nuggets.

And, no one East of the Mississippi is going to watch LA play Portland, who will probably beat them in the playoff race as well.

This is not the same LeBron who carried Cleveland on his back. This is Hollywood LeBron. Winning is no longer everything.

Two monster dunks by the King!!!! WOW!

There's a reason I watched every one of his games the last four years. He used to do that for 42 minutes a game. But, he's lost a step. If he thought he could still carry a team, he never would have left his home.

I don't blame him. Carrying a team is hard work. LA is fun.

LOL. This Laker team has multiple ball handlers. I think LeBron is scoring 40+ tonight. Rondo is doing a nice job with the ball.

Not much in the way of shooters though. No one who's ever shot 40% from 3. Only KCP and Hart even average from deep. Not sure how well that's going to work for the whole season. The Cavs were clicking when Lebron had Kyrie, Love, Korver, and Smith to set up.

They played well enough. If that game was in LA, they would have won.

Mo Wegner is someone to watch out for. Big man that can shoot.

Re: Nba 2018-19

No LeBron and Toronto stomps on Cleveland. The K Brothers, Lowry and Leonard, combined for 40 points so far. Love as a leading scorer just isn't going to cut it for the Cavs. Lottery team.

Yes, LeBron was that good.

Toronto has a good shot at challenging Boston.

Cavs have a kid named Cedi Osman. He's someone to watch.

Had LeBron stayed in Ohio, he would have won the season opener. Cavs were set to bring in Kemba Walker. So he probably would have reached the finals again too. But it’s not about winning anymore for James.

Magic will probably flip his roster. He has to. Lebron’s window is too small.

I’m not the kind of guy to say—told ya so. But, that is a funny post, considering the final score.

Agree'd 7 for 30 on 3 point shots??? While LJ had a pretty good game.. They still lost.. Lakers faded bad in 4th quarter.

Ball handlers??? They may want to spend more time practicing shooting..

I think they're going to try and ride out this year with what they've got and add a Kawhi type next year. They just better hope he doesn't fall in love with Toronto the way PG13 did with OKC.

Great game tonight: Boston vs. Raptors. I plan to watch.

As for LA, I have no idea what LeBron was thinking, but winning was not among any of those thoughts. He had a nucleus in Cleveland, but I can see where working for Gilbert and all the pressure James put on himself to win titles for "The Land" was wearing him down. So leaving sort of made sense.

From what I saw of last night's highlight reel, he did look to be having fun last night, even while losing. He never took losing well in Cleveland. I suspect he expects to lose in LA.

nucleus in LA > nucleus in Cleveland.

You really have no clue how good B.I or Kuzma are.

lol....We saw how good they are: 23% from beyond the arc as a team. Good luck with that.

Against the #3 seed in the west on the road where the Blazers were playing for their owner.

Also, Lonzo Ball looked really good. He has fixed his shot. Watch out.

I also have trouble taking you seriously when you predict the Spurs will have a better record than the Lakers.

You can tell that from his 2-7 shooting and his 1-4 from 3 in one game?

It was pretty good given he played like 3 games the past month.

He looks much stronger. Like a young Jason Kidd with tattoos.

Yeah, when I saw his one assist in the box score, I was bowled over, like by a feather.

The Spurs beat a pretty good team, rather easily. The Lakers were smoked in LeBron's opener. For SA, the ceiling is nowhere in sight. Whereas last night's first fifteen minutes might be the best you'll see from LeBron all year.

Re: Nba 2018-19

Raptors, led by Leonard, take down the Celts. Hell of a good game.

Re: Nba 2018-19

With the way Utah played against GS yesterday, I’m beginning to wonder if LA will even make the playoffs. There are now five teams solidly ahead of them: GS, Houston, Thunder, Blazers, and Jazz. And, the Pelicans, Nuggets and Wolves have to be considered the next three, with the Denver being the least likely to fall out of the top 8. That’s six teams the Lakers will not beat out.

Lakers will be with the Spurs, both teams battling for that last spot. There’s hope that they can beat out the Wolves or Anthony Davis’ Pels, but not much else.

Re: Nba 2018-19

Raptors rest Kawhi, still beat the Bullets 117-113.

Boston rests Gordie, nip the Knicks 103-101.

Wolves rest Jimmy B, and the Mavs score 122 with 4-1/2 minutes still left to go.

Raptors are very good
Boston is probably not that far behind them
Minnesota is in trouble.
