College Football 2018-2019 Season

Hey, Williamsburg Va. My parents bought a 2nd home home in King's Mill after I went to school there they fell in love
with the town. They lived therei until they got old and came back to Jersey. I haven't gone back there in decades.
Do they still play football at Cary Field? I remember some of the big teams would not play there because it only had
about 12,000 seating capacity.

We moved here from northern Virginia in 2017 after I retired for the second time. We're in Ford's Colony.
Our daughter and her husband graduated from W&M, and had their wedding in the Wren Chapel. We found Ford's Colony when we hosted the wedding reception at their country club. Mrs. Hays and I took note of the place as a possible retirement location, and came back years later to settle.
I have not yet developed much knowledge of W&M athletics.

I'd have to disagree. I think Clemson showed conclusively they were the better team.

Nope. Bama won the time possession and had more yards. Clemsom had more big plays.

This was a case of bama not being prepared or taking their opponent lightly

We'll have to disagree. I think Clemson had more big plays because they had better players.

Well, kinda. But even in a best of twenty games, there will be only one that decides the series. Alabama got drubbed, for sure. Next year? Well, we'll have to wait on that. Alabama isn't going anywhere, nor is Clemson. I do have to say, I hope for two different teams next year. I'm hoping; FSU vs ?????:2razz:

I hope FSU can rebuild themselves. Still don't know why they bounced Jimbo Fischer.
 
Looking ahead, the impression is out there that it's more fun to play at Clemson than it is to play at Alabama.

Uh, no. Not when one team demolishes the other like Clemson did to Bama. Clearly, this current Clemson team is better than this current Bama team. Going forward, these are two excellent programs and the rivalry will live on, and at some point one will be better, then the other one will. But this season? Clearly Clemson was better.

Part of Bama's success is that Saban never takes any opponent lightly. Let's give Clemson credit. They played a near perfect game. And Bama had a couple holes in it's defense.....including not having Christian Miller play due to injuries. I am a diehard Bama fan, however I know they are not going to win it every year.

I don't think it's a case of Clemson having better players. Clemson came prepared and just played the best 60 minutes of football in that game. That was not the case all season long. Clemson struggled to beat one SEC team that Bama beat handily.

It is virtually a given that Bama and Clemson will be in the playoffs next season. Clemson was incredible with that freshman quarterback and Bama will be even more quarterback rich then this season.

And last year Bama was clearly better. Both teams are incredible.

Rumor has it that Jimbo experienced some , uhmmmm, marital problems while there. I don't know that for sure, but soon after I heard that, he became a bit erratic with his behavior towards fans and moving-on became part of the rumor mill. I never much cared for him, only because of the way FSU treated the best football coach ever(Bobby Bowden) when naming Jimbo. I wish him luck at A&M, he'll need it in the SEC.

He's a pretty decent coach but I am a Bobby Bowden fan. He truly built that program from near nothing.
