College Football 2018-2019 Season

Hats off to Bama too for their year. It's always tough when your Top Dog and everyone is gunning for you.

Later guys...Talk more about college football in about 7 months.

breaking news!

Texans fire Bill O'Brien hire Dabo Swinney

It is a shame though that these studs can't go to the NFL. Trevor Lawrence should have the opportunity to play in the NFL right now.

It is a travesty they have to risk injury instead of being paid like grown men.

Wow! Just wow.

I guess Clemson is much better than I thought, and Alabama is not quite as good as everyone said.

A big congrats to the Tigers. Unfortunately I fell asleep during the 4th quarter. Does anyone know the name of the player who on multiple times slapped down the ball creating incompletes for Bama? He was like a jack in the box behind the Bama player standing there arms up ready to catch the ball and would jump up and slap the ball down. The Tigers defense was pretty impressive. Heck so was their offense. There's a lot of ESPN talking heads eating crow for breakfast this morning. I wish there was a way to watch and hear the actual game being played minus the talking heads.

I never clicked on the game. It was over even before I checked the score, which was around halftime. I wonder how low the ratings were for it. My guess is the game did not even win the night.

agreed....Drinks on me guys!!! My biggest win in 2 years

Congrats! What was your stat line? Jersey number? Did you make any of the highlight reals?

;)

Best highlight was the official ducking to keep from being decapitated during an Alabama pass over the middle! Completion not decapitation!

So...is it time for Nick Saban to move on to the NFL again? I mean...sure...he lost THIS game but you cant take anything away from the guy and his record. What more does he have to prove in the NCAA? OR should he maybe move on to a lesser program and take on the challenge of building it into a national championship team?

He CAN stay at Bama for the rest of his career I suppose. But...should he?

LOL.... I started to play the money line also, but chickened out in the last hours. I would have won 13000 had I played the money line.....but 5k will work. :)

Rock on Logician Man! I bask in the shadow of your glory! Picture my grin!

I hope you woke/wake up today with a wonderful afterglow!

There two teams have face each other in the playoffs for four years straight and I suspect they will again next season. They are now two and two, basically taking turns winning the championship. As last night showed, Clemson was the better team this year, at least in the championship game. Saban will fix some holes in the Alabama defense in the off season that he admitted last night that he knew existed. if they rebuild to the defense they had two years ago, they will look much like Clemson did last night.

He intends to stay with Alabama until retirement. He has set up many roots in Alabama including businesses and his wife does not want to move. His present contract runs through 2025.

That's Saban's choice. I saw a couple of articles today piling on Saban for the most embarrassing loss in his career. As far as I am concerned that was Way out of line. That man has a stellar career of being a fantastic coach who often doesn't lose games. And yes he can stay at Bama or move to the NFL. That is his choice but I doubt Bama is hoping he leaves anytime soon.

Sure...he could rival Bear Bryant by the time he is done. No one can question his success there.

As much as I LOVE beating on Bama, one game does not define a team. I suspect that if they played Clemson 10 times, AL would win 7. They just got kicked in the teeth early and couldn't bounce back this time. It happens.

I played football at a school that in my time was IA but is now 1-AA. When we freshman pledged frats many of us joined Sigma Nu for many
reasons a very minor reason but a reason none the less was that the brothers reminded a few of us that Bear Bryant was a Sigma Nu. That was a major
reason why I was rooting for Clemson last night & happy they won. Bear has 6 national titles this would have been Saban's 6th, didn't happen &
now I doubt he ever will.

I was Delta Upsilon. A "Sigma Nu shower" was deodorant without showering first.

I fully endorse Jalen Hurts transferring to Fresno State. He needs to think about his pro career. Find a QB guru that elevate his game.

Point taken! I think we had as a unit the most 'honorcode violations'

Teammates with the most intellectual aspirations gravitated to Kappa Sig. Those from the south went Kappa Alpha
& us from NY, NJ and pennsylania went Sigma Nu. Dan Henning long time NFL coach & head coach was a frat brother of mine.
Dan Darragh was Kappa Sig started at QB for Buffalo for a year or two. All three frats had one player drafted as I recall.

Never heard of Delta Upsilon!

Sorry, no offense intended. I just never was aware of the fraternity you mentioned.
