2018 FIFA World Cup Thread [W:87]

Riots in Paris left 2 dead and over 500 injured and yet people were angrier about some English fans jumping on beds in Ikea.
To be fair.... it was damage to an ambulance at home that caught some media attention mostly British.

As for the riots in France. The 2 dead were accidents...or stupidity. One man dived into a shallow pool and a other wrapped his car around a tree.

Millions were on the streets in Paris, so of course the criminal element would come out of their holes... it was 500 arrested not injured.

Don't rate Saúl and Thiago very highly and certainly didn't perform well in Russia. I ain't dismissing them, I'm just saying they are in a transitional phase where it is far from certain they will emerge as strongly as they were between 2006 and 2012.
Saul did not play and Thiago did not get a full game.
