[W:549] Nfl 2018

Kanas fans threw snow balls at the punter as he’s about to punt, hopefully a lifetime ban like they demanded for the Patriots fan.

I find that seeing Andrew Luck utterly failing is very entertaining. And he was lucky that he wasn't intercepted, last drive.
I always thought that Luck is over-rated. People talk about him like he is God's Gift to Quarterbacking but the truth is that he is very irregular; capable of demonstrating a lot of talent but also capable of screwing up royally with fumbles, interceptions, and mediocre performances. Sure, his offensive line is not helping him, but it's also on him to release the ball faster, and he is just playing horribly today. His defense keeps giving him opportunities, and he keeps squandering them.
Hehe, enough for me to say this, and he scored a TD. But it is likely to be too little too late, with 5:31 left. LOL, Vinatieri missed again!

And the Colts bite the dust! I love it! Go Chiefs!

If the Chiefs defense plays like it did today I'll be hard to see anyone beating them in Arrowhead.

Sounds like a home game for the cowboys

Apparently the composition of the public is 50-50 for each team. I guess the Angelenos haven't embraced their new teams yet. It's worse for the Chargers.
As far as the game goes, this is a tough game. Outcome uncertain.

Rams looking strong. Maybe the outcome is not as uncertain as I said above. Other than their first drive, the Cowboys haven't done much.

Cowboys fall short against the Rams.

well, I expected no less. There may have been a lot of cowboys fans, but the excellent run game with Gurley and Anderson it was not surprising that the rams would win. But I must say I had expected more from Elliot so good defense there. But if this game is going to have to play the saints in New Orleans, then I am not sure they will come out victorious.

One has to wonder how the Rams were able to sign CJ Anderson when he was cut by the Panthers in December.

That was kinda surprising. I thought only New England fans did that. ;)

We all appreciate, as a Cheatriots fan, you'd have no appreciation of the integrity of the game and playing all games to the best of the abilities of the players on the field. Chicago may have lost to the Eagles on Sunday, but they gained a lot in the eyes of people like me who appreciate that they went out and played their best because the game meant a lot to both the Vikings and the Eagles - that's a team with class!!

This is the last I am going to comment on the subject.

I used to be a big fan of Kobe Bryant. Even defended him during his rape trial. Was completely on board with trashing the alleged victim because I was a fan of his ability and the Lakers.

Knowing what I know now, given that I have a child, a girl, I have realized how wrong I was. Kobe Bryant should be in jail. If this incident happened today, someone like Kobe Bryant's career would have ended.

It is completely wrong that Kobe Bryant is treated like a king, and the entire crime seems to have been erased through the ether of time. His victim deserves justice. He deserves to be punished. His records and accomplishments should have an asterick next to them.

Ben Roethlisberger raped women. Once in 2008 and once in 2010. Steeler fans that root for him makes me sick to my stomach. This is a game, not life. We need to put life in perspective. Raping women is not okay. What he did was not okay. He was lucky this did not happen during the metoo movement because his career would have been finished.

Ben Roethlisberger lacks moral integrity. Rooting for him is just a slap in the face of victims of rape.

Neither one was ever convicted of a crime

Watching Mahomes is fun. Kid can do some amazing things.

See if he can keep doing it year after year though. The NFL's history is littered with 1 year and done young QB's.

we shall see. He doesn't take big hits and he understands the scheme. Bodes well.

taking nothing away from mahomes stellar performance, but it did help to have a running game the cowgirls were unable to stop

Absolutely. Any QB's best friend is a running game.

But some of the throws he makes are fun to watch.. Sidearm... Underhand... He threw a TD earlier this year left handed. He's athletic as hell. Of course down the road that might come back to bite him in the ass.

It looks like the Miami Dolphins are throwing in the towel next year:

Even before they hire Patriots linebackers coach Brian Flores as their next head coach, the Dolphins already are thinking about rebuilding and trying to land one of the trumpeted quarterbacks from the class of 2020, which includes Alabama's Tua Tagovailoa and Oregon's Justin Herbert, league sources told ESPN.

It is difficult to tank in the NFL with players' contracts not being guaranteed. But the Dolphins recognize that losing likely will be a part of next season, and it will take some time to build the roster to where they want it to be, according to sources.

Dolphins owner Stephen Ross acknowledged as much when he discussed the team's future after former head coach Adam Gase was fired on Dec. 31.

Miami Dolphins considering rebuild, eye heralded QBs in 2020 draft class

Expect the Dolphins to trade or release Ryan Tannehill and maybe even Danny Amendola.

If I were the Dolphins I would probably auction off the #13th pick in the draft for a first round pick and more for 2020's draft.
