[W:549] Nfl 2018

Saints look to be saving the Eagles' season.

Did I hear that right? Brees breaks the all-time record, the game is stopped but a Ref throws a flag and penalizes the Saints for excessive celebration?

If there was an infraction then there was an infraction.

Yeah, but for what? They stopped the game. Everyone was celebrating and jumping around. They Knew there was going to be a celebration. They brought Brees's family to the field. Just seemed weird calling an excessive celebration penalty on a planned celebration.

It's the NFL.

Saints dominate and Brees breaks the record. Great night, now I can finally sleep.

Thats weird, I thought they allowed the celebration stuff nowadays...

Eagles really need to win tonight to show they're still a contender.

Interesting. Didnt the Eagles players say they wanted to win the Eagles way and said the Patriots were robots and didnt have fun?

Hmmmm.

It's weird. It could be said the Giants need this game more. But because there is no team in the NFC East over. 500 an 8-8 record might win the division. So if the Giants lose tonight they still might be alive. So who knows.

okay buddy

The Giants are pathetic, going for 1-5, and with a has-been QB. The Dallas Cowboys are horrible too, and the painful thing is that the NFL keeps scheduling these teams for prime time. There are several Cowboys evening games this season and they are just not exciting.

the giants were a 63 yard last second field goal from defeating a good team

the game they played sunday was anything but pathetic

I'm a Panthers fan, and I think the game the Giants played Sunday is to be blamed on the Panthers playing poorly rather than on the Giants playing great. The Panthers have a tendency to let go of big leads as the game approaches its end, which is why we call them The Cardiac Cats; they almost kill the fans... I'm hoping that when Greg Olsen and Matt Kalil come back, we'll do better.

I'd say that there is no way to look at this 1-5 Giants record as anything but pathetic. I'd say the same of the score of their last game, 34-13 from a then, 2-3 team.

Sure, sure, the Giants did a bit better on Sunday... but still lost.

"Almost won" doesn't cut it.

The W-L column does.

Look, the Giants have lost 18 of 22 games in the last two seasons.

If this is not pathetic, I don't know what else you'd call pathetic. Is your threshold to call a team pathetic, the Browns last season? Even the Browns have improved while the Giants remain garbage.

Eli Manning is toast and the Giants need to urgently move on from him, or else, they'll remain pathetic.

And I say so, while having sympathy for the Giants. While I'm a Panthers fan like I said, I have sympathy for both New York teams, because I like New York City, a place where I lived for several years and where I went to school, before moving back to North Carolina.

The Giants need to start paying attention to the upcoming QB draft. There's Missouri's Drew Lock, Oregon's Justin Herbert, and NC State's Ryan Finley.

Cowboys have that loyal fan base that will watch them though. And, that's good enough for TV execs.

As for the rest of us, there is no way I'd watch a Cowboys or a Giants game, no matter who they play. I imagine most people feel the same way.

Giants got big problems. They're stuck with an awful teammate in Beckham, with the Giants losing every week that means the news will be Beckham, Beckham and Beckham. Every week for the next 10-11 weeks. The Giants signing him with all that guaranteed money was a HUGE mistake.

And they have an immobile old QB in Eli.

They maybe worse than they were last year.

the panthers are a strong team in a strong division
and despite that, the giants fought back to take the lead leaving the cardiac cats little time and a long field goal to re-take the lead for the win
a visiting team does not put a strong home team in that position if it is truly pathetic
net result is the panthers were fortunate to walk away with a win

the best receiver on the planet
just look at the first reception in last sunday's game to see why

he talks a good game but he can also back up the talk

The Giants signed nate solder and made him the highest paid o-linemen in the nfl.

The giants love overpaying ex-patriots players. They got suckered again.

He's a team cancer that wouldn't be able to survive on most good teams.

As a Patriots fan, I wouldn't want him.

No, he's not. And he's a cancer on the team.

He is the most overrated, and overpaid player in the NFL.
