[W:549] Nfl 2018

Leveon Bell who? Not only is Bell losing millions now, he's probably lost millions in his future. How many GM's are now thinking that some of Bell's success with the Steelers was because of the Steeler system and O-Line? They just plug in another guy and he's a top RB in the league? Bell rolled the dice and it looks like he lost.

Steelers’ RB Conner Named AFC Offensive Player Of The Month

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – Pittsburgh Steelers running back James Conner has been named the AFC’s Offensive Player of the Month.

Conner rushed for 367 yards and six touchdowns in October. He also added 13 catches for 159 yards.

He racked up those numbers in just three games, due to the Steelers’ bye week.

Wow, Oakland is absolutely pathetic!

At least they have 3 first round picks!

Time to go back to square one.

Good gracious me, what an injury for Mostert. And why did the idiots at the NFL show the injury. That was gruesome. No need for that image (no matter how much you warn people it is horrible).

I would say that is Mostert out for the season because that looked like operation city to me. But Mostert is a hard guy, he walked off with that injury and hats off to him for that. Lets hope the injury is not too incapacitating for Mostert.

They are really poor, terrible actually. From one week to another week they are absolutely tragically to then again being somewhat OK. This team is looking like wanting to end up at the bottom.

Well Gruden gutted the heart and soul of the Raiders when he traded away Mack and Cooper, and made Derek Carr cry. I have no idea what Davis was thinking when he hired him and gave out $100 million guaranteed for a coach that hasnt coached for over a decade. At this point I think the Raiders are now worse than the Browns for being the most pathetic team in the NFL.

You know what kind of things you could do with 100 million? You could hire an entire coaching staff with all star feeling and with a head coach that actually coached in the past 10 years.

Then getting rid of some great players for possible stars in the future. And then he says loads of players want to play for the Raiders next season. I would not if I were a top player because with Gruden you could find yourself out of a job at the drop of a hat. And also who knows how the new players will succeed?

First and foremost he is going to have to find a star QB/franchise QB, a great RB, great WR's and an entire Offensive and Defensive line because this team is horrendous.

And yes, a new QB because Carr is not a franchise QB.

We saw what happened when the Vikings traded away Herschel Walker to the Cowboys.

Something similar could happen to the Raiders. Their roster is weak. The current players have quit on the team which is just pathetic!

I am not sure about the front office though. Who is pulling the strings? Jon Gruden or Reggie McKenzie?

The Raiders have every incentive to degrade their product in Oakland to reduce resistance to their departure. After arriving in Las Vegas they can then use the future assets they are now acquiring to attract their new fans.

What incentive then do Oakland fans have to pay money to go to games?

When you are given $100 million guaranteed for like a decade, then it's obvious you will be calling the shots. I heard rumors that McKenzie will be out soon.

The Gruden hiring reminds me of jobs I had in several companies where I quit. They bring in this savior for big bucks who makes the place worse than it ever was while alienating the entire team. Yeay Raiders!

That is a totally insane supposition. Why would you wreck a team just because youre moving? The players are pros, they are used to moving across the country, and I doubt any of them would balk at that prospect. Did the Rams junk all their players when they moved to LA?

Before Gruden took over the team, there was talk last year that the players had quit on each other and that offensive linesmen were allowing defensive players to hit Carr in retaliation. Considering the team and their record over the last few years, Id say what makes the most sense in all this is that when Gruden was brought on board the decision was basically made to start from scratch. Its entirely possible that what he saw was a team that was just so dysfunctional that blowing it up and starting fresh with as many #1s thy could get their hands on was the smartest move they could make.

The city of Oakland is fighting the departure.

The browns are still the worst franchise in the nfl. The owner of thst team hired an analytics expert in Paul DePodesta and a Harvard lawyer in Sashi Brown to hire......hue Jackson....

The owner is clueless. The sad thing is google boy DePodesta wasn't even that good of a gm in baseball.

Ridiculous.

1. the players are not the city
2. The deal is done and they cant stop it.

I cant go with that line of thinking since Carr is still on the team. Gruden got rid of their best player in Mack and their second best in Cooper. The only reason I can see is that Gruden's ego was so huge that he didnt want anyone to steal the limelight from himself.

The Dolphins have been rebuilding for 35 years, but at least they're not doing it while leaving. I feel better.

Oakland has threatened a lawsuit.
Depress the attractiveness of the product and thereby depress public support for the lawsuit.
Most important, stockpile assets from a sell-off in Oakland to use for a fast start in Las Vegas.

Watching last night's game it looks like Gruden has already lost the lock room. But to be fair with all the draft picks the Raiders have over the next few years most of the players there now will be gone next year.

But I do wonder if Gruden can handle and coach the modern young players.

I have serious doubts about whether Gruden is a 21st century coach that can deal with the players and rules of today.

I think the city of Oakland tried to sue them once before I could be wrong but I think they did. But the Raiders Act is getting old, they used to be one of the elite teams in the AFL / NFL but now they're turning into a joke, they're in Oakland, then they go to LA, then go back to Oakland, now they're going to Vegas. Enough.

When the AFL was founded I picked the Chiefs as my team, so I've never cared for the Raiders wherever they played.

I can’t understand the Raiders’ problem. They have one of the best fan bases in the NFL, easily top 5, there are local Raiders clubs here in York, Pennsylvania that have a bunch of members. Moving to LV just seems like it will hurt them more than it will help them.

Why? If ever a team was made for Vegas it would be the Silver and Black.
