[W:549] Nfl 2018

Re: Nfl 2018

Giving up a 3rd for a mediocre veteran is too much, especially if he's just a placeholder for a #1 pick. But then again, it's the Browns, so nothing surprises me about what they do anymore.

The Redskins gave up a 3rd and a starting CB for a QB, 5 years older and marginally better.

The Browns actually have good WRs now. I can see them winning games now.

Re: Nfl 2018

No. This year will probably be his last.

I am sick and tired of your utter ignorance regarding the great Tom Brady. I was saddened when TopCat removed my quote from his signature where you said a year ago Tom Brady was going to decline significantly in 2017.

Wrong!

Not only will Tom Brady be great, he will be phenomenal.

Next season:

30 + Tds passes? check
4,500 passing yards? check
Lead his team to AFC East Title check

Tom Brady will have another great year. If not, I would donate $100 to any organization of your choice (not including the NRA or Planned Parenthood.)

I doubt you would take the bet because only a FOOL would bet against Tom Brady.

Re: Nfl 2018

49ers have Sherman on Defense, Jimmy G on offense and tons of money to spend on cap space. NFC West is about to be loaded.
I think Sherman is 2 years and a major injury on the sunset side of being the impact player the 49ers are hoping he will be. He will be good...he wont likely be as good as he was.

I think Brady will be very good. And I suspect the Patriots will make another run and probably end up in the SB one last time. I think thats what this year is all about for them. One last time.

He did decline...they lost to a nobody in the Superbowl.

How on earth do you attribute that loss to Brady's record setting performance? They lost because their defense couldnt make a stop.

lol...I'm sure that fumble in the 4th quarter had nothing to do with it. :)

And you think a strip sack is an indicator of a decline in his quarterback skills.

Geeeeeezus....

Oh the irony.

Make **** up why don't you? The only quote of yours was the one where YOU of all people suggested that someone else didn't support their argument with facts.

Again...irony redefined.

Geeeeeezus....

Lack of mobility. It's always the legs that are first to go.

Re: Nfl 2018

Nothing stays the same forever.

I will miss Sherman. Just as I miss Marshawn. Heck, I still miss Steve Largent.

We have no idea what kind of team the Seahawks will be this year. The offensive protection of the QB can only get better.

I still have my Paul Skansi autograph in my room. I know what you mean... It will be exciting to see what happens!

I believe Pete Carroll is looking at an exit plan. This is the same thing that happened at USC. He ignored the offensive line and bounced once another opportunity arose.

I wouldn't be suprised if Pete Carroll left during midseason when the Seahawks are 1-5, 2-4...

You will have to excuse Calamity.

If Tom Brady went 24-25, 500 passing yards, 5 Td passes and 1 INT, he would say Brady had a terrible game for throwing the int.

Calamity was the one saying Brady's decline was shown against the Falcons for his poor first half, despite not mentioning Brady conducted the greatest comeback in Super Bowl history.

This is more of the same from Calamity. A poster that praises the me too movement yet urges his favorite NFL teams to draft players accused of rape and throwing haymakers at college girls (on video).

Tom is done. Pats should have kept Jimmy G.

No doubt they will be one game up on the Cheatriots then.

Re: Nfl 2018

Case Keenum signing with the Broncos: As a Patriots fan, I am thrilled by this news. The Broncos won't be competing for the playoffs for a near future.

The Buffalo Bills may be interested in signing Sam Bradford: The Buffalo Bills are kind of a scary team. They are loaded in this upcoming draft and have an above average roster. They might trade up and draft Darnold. That would be a bit worrisome.

Re: Nfl 2018

I'm glad they arent breaking the bank to try to bring in Cousins. Keenum...meh...passable. At least it doesnt destroy cap room. If this is the best they can do during free agency then they need to hit the Hail Mary drafting a QB. But short of bringing in Brees (and I could be totally off but I dont think he is going anywhere) or making a big trade, Im not all that excited about the Free Agent QBs. The only two real options are Bridgewater (his age makes that interesting) and McCarron. I think Minnesota is going to regret Cousins as much as they regretted Walker.

Did I not see Minnesota at the top of the list of teams that will always break your heart?

Re: Nfl 2018

Not me, I think he's going to ball out for the Vikes. He's careful with the ball, he makes quick reads & has a quick release, goes through his progressions instead of zeroing in on the hot receiver or checkdown. I watched plenty of dismal Redskins games where he was the only offensive skill player worth a damn. Balls bouncing off receivers hands & numbers count against the QB in terms of comp/att and W/L ratings, but the devil is always in the details. Cousins carried that offense for 3+ years and was 2nd only to Brees in the FA QB market. Sure he's no Tom Brady or Aaron Rodgers, but he's certainly no Ryan Leaf or RG3 either. A SB-winning team could easily be built around him.
