E.A.G.L.E.S. Super Bowl Champions !!!!!

As expected...the thugs in Philly represented after the win.

It would be so much easier being happy for the Eagles and their fans of so many of them werent such gigantic douchebgs. (and of course thats not ALL Philly fans...but enough)

I think in the sense of the story, it was better, with Brady losing the big game (most people wanted that) and the Eagles getting their ring, while the Steelers got their 7th.

I started watching that game with an "I wish both teams would lose" attitude, but started rooting for philly based on how well Foles was playing and how well the Eagles were being coached. I enjoyed the hell out of it, and I don't usually think SB's live up to 1/10th of the hype.

That 4th down trick play for the TD was freaking epic, though. Will go down as one of the greatest/ballsiest plays in a SB ever. They were fully committed to winning the game.

Oh please. It's not MOST Philly fans, and in fact some level of vandalism and damages happens in most cities just after a major sporting event win.
This isn't specific to Philly.

Now beat it, this thread is for having fun and making fun of the Patriots getting beat!!!!

Go be grumpy with this guy:

Agreed. The call was as ballsy as the play was epic. Unforgettable. Even more so coming after Brady/Pats tried and failed on a similar trick. I'll repeat, I was really impressed with the Eagles coaching.

You should go comment on Bucky's PatsWorship blogs. He's probably got the hangover from hell about now.

TB12 sitting on the field after the fumble was priceless!

"I bribed you to guarantee my team a win, not the Eagles!"

The coach cost the Patriots. Tom Brady has carried the Patriot for nearly 20 years and I am extremely disappointed in Bill Belichick.

I agree. But that's mainly because I was high. :)

Heh, I can relate. That tends to make everything seem a little more intense.

I had nothing but a middling beer buzz last night, but I really enjoyed it. I watched from home, not expecting to even pay attention to most of the game, but I watched just about all of it.

What do you mean "grumpy", that's a smile from Belichick... :mrgreen:

Losing is hard. It's one of the toughest things to teach our HS athletes, to lose with grace.
The game was surreal for me. I didn't want it to end. I've got HS and NCAA wrestling, and the NBA, until MLB. :bringit

losing Cooks really hurt; Lewis was missing in action; M. Butler; Pats RBs no match for those of the Eagles;
too many hits on Brady, who actually had a better QB rating than Foles and carried the Pats; missed FG;

failure to adjust to Eagles passing early and often; gadget plays;
unprepared for the rotation of the Eagles D line;

The two reviewed TDs were called by what I feel the new rules will be. imho, the first was 50/50 and the 2nd was 75/25;
they stood as called; it would have been a far tougher call on replay if they were ruled incomplete on the field.
Use the same rules for WRs as RBs on TDs.

The NFL got this one about as good as they could have hoped. They need to lose the camera close-ups during the National Anthem.
Overall, the sports books got slaughtered on props and money lines. :lamo

They got beat by a better team.

Where did I say 'most'? I said 'enough'.

I'm not grumpy at all. It was a great game. Good to see Foles have a hero moment...he seems like a very decent guy. I have family in Pennsylvania and am happy for them that they finally...FINALLY won the big one.

I think the Bills will go after Nick Foles hard.

Did anyone other than me think that NBC was lazy and just not good on the camera editing? Plus we know that they were so bad that they had 26 seconds of dead air time. Plus we know know that the halftime sound was poorly done and yes I know that they subcontract out halftime but still it is their responsibility to make sure that it is done right.

I wish the Eagle's fans in Philly would show a little more enthusiasm after that sensational win.
There's no doubt the Eagles could not do it. It was a excellent performance !
Halftime antics ?
I went to the bathroom and waited outside the door pretending there's a line to use it. When the antics was done I returned and enjoyed the game.

NBC showed a short clip of his press interview and it seems Billy vowed revenge. He blamed the defense for the loss.
I'm crying in my peeled onion.

THAT was an awesome play!!

First thing I FEARED was some kind of "incomplete pass", arm going forward, or reinvention of the tuck rule. But no such luck for Brady (unlike his "tuck rule" bs).

Great game, the eagles did what other teams opposing NE did not - mostly play flawless football. Trick plays that worked, no dumb passes into traffic, and a tireless defense (unlike Atlanta) that eventually forced a turnover.

Pederson looks to be a fantastic coach, and Roseman a great gm. Wish my raiders were so blessed.

I've never really been an Eagles fan but I'm glad they won. I saw a story early on in the season about a Wentz and a young fan with cancer and it really touched my heart and I was praying for them to make it far but never imagined this far.

Also Foles daughter is just about the cutest little thing.

That story about the kid made me bawl like a baby.

I'm not really a football fan at all.
I live about 45 minutes away from downtown Philadelphia, so the vast majority of knowledge I have about football/Eagles is simply osmosis.

However, the story this year's team wrote is just phenomenal.

Honest die-hard Eagles fans were just hoping to make play-offs this year.
After losing their franchise quarterback the vast majority of the sporting world wrote the Eagles off as done.

Just an EPIC effort by coaches and players combined.
They truly earned the win.

I couldn't agree anymore. When I came to this team this years, all the planets were aligned perfectly.
