Is Nicklaus’s record safe? I see where TW is going to be playing soon. Does he have another major win? A few years back it seemed a forgone conclusion that Tiger would surpass JN, now....?

His record has been safe for quite a while now
 
It is highly unlikely that Woods wins 5 more Majors. He is 41 now, almost 42. If he wins 5 more Majors at this point, it would be the greatest sports feat of all time.

I think he is washed up. He'll still be a contender for the middle of the pack.

He messed up that possibility when his now ex-wife perfected HER swing.
 
You have to give Woods some credit though, he pretty much currently IS pro golf’s existence. He hasn’t been relevant in close to a decade, but yet is still the most talked about current golfer. I can’t even name more than 3 or 4 other current pro golfers, and even the top guys don’t get near the attention that Woods still gets.

Tiger is done. He won't even be competitive, IMO.

He needs four to tie.

He has 9-years still. Possibly longer. Hogan almost won in 1960 at 48. Had he not spun his wedge shot off the green into the water, it would have been his.

The main thing will be health. If he remains healthy he can do it. That’s 45 chances, with the limited field Masters giving him the best chances.

His ball striking has been pretty poor, and surprisingly his short game too, but all greats had slumps.

I think he’d be smart to go back to Butch Harmon to simplify his swing.

He does have the exemption going for him. So, no matter how crappy he's played these past 5-6 years, he'll always be invited to a Major. And, if he makes a few cuts, ya just never know how it ends on Sundays.

Masters is life long; at least it used to be.
The Open... is to 60.
US Open... 10-years
PGA... all former champions

So... he will have at least 3-shots until he decides otherwise.
 
I think the man needs to find a good loyal wife and he needs to stick with her.

I believe he had that. But....well---sticking to just one was a little harder for Tiger than sinking a 20-foot putt back then.
 
He hasn't won a major since 2008, and hasn't been worth a darn since he got caught cheating on his then-wife, who apparently took his golf talent as part of "her half of everything"...

He'll never beat Jack's record...

Funny thing is when I heard the tale, I so could relate to Tiger. After all, I'm sure my ex would have chased me down the block while swinging a golf club at my head, had I owned some.
