The 2018 Major Leage Baseball Thread

Actually, you have a second rotation waiting in the wings. I still expect one of them to be traded for a catcher. Imagine having a Yasmani Grandal, with the Dodgers needing multiple right-handed starters ...

I doubt it. I think Weiters will have a large comeback year.

Stanton hits a 2 run HR in his first AB as a Yankee.

Images of Yankees players magically appear in beer!

OK, it's more of a promotional thing which, apparently, has already been shut down. Anyway, totally cool idea!

Yankees have too much fire power.

Does Stanton look like he's juiced, or not??

The Yankees have the two best players in baseball hitting back to back.

We are talking back to back 50 HR's guys. This team is like an all-star team on the offense. Any inning they can score 3-4 runs.

Nats' TV broadcast team of Bob Carpenter and F. P. Santangelo are back for another year. They are excellent. Carpenter's home run call: "See. You. Later!"

I can’t stand Santangelo, and Carpenter’s home run call is a rip off of the Orioles’ Jim Hunter.

Baseball Almanac credits it to former Orioles announcer Michael Reghi. MASN broadcasts both Orioles and Nats. I suspect Hunter and Carpenter both got it from Reghi. I still like it.
We'll have to disagree about Santangelo.

I'm not happy with John Sterling's choice of Home Run call for Stanton. "non può essere fermato" is a little bit more creative than I can take on a regular basis.

I hate the evil empire but Stanton was there at #2 and I was forced to draft him. Sanchez as well. At least I got Bruce.

Nats are 1-0.
Nats pitching staff ERA is 0.00.

Last I saw, MS had 10K through six. Looks like that was his last inning. Hell of a performance.

I can beat this.
SF Giants are 2-0 and their ERA is 0.00.
What makes this really sweet is the wins are against the goddam Dodgers.....in LA.
It's ridiculously early, but these two wins will sustain my optimism as I await the return of Bumgarner.

NY Yankees - 2-0 - wish I got YES this year.
What an offense.

Nats scored 13 to go 2-0. I think Cincinnati is the second most hitter-friendly park in MLB after Coors Field in Colorado.
