They were NL champions - at minimum. The dodgers are mostly the same team with the exception of pitching. However, they've added Walker Buhler and put Maeda in the bullpen. They also have Ryu and have subtracted Darvish.

They absolutely have an edge in intangibles. They've been there.

And lost. The Brewers have players who have won a WS.

I'm not too concerned with the NLCS playoff picture. The next World Champion will be either Houston or Boston, with Boston having to be the clear favorite. The ALCS will probably go 7. The World Series will be lucky to go 5.

As stated, I avoid predictions. I think any one of the four remaining teams could win the WS.

I expect it'll be one of the AL teams. If forced to choose I'd say Boston.

I think Houston is the best all around team left. BUT Boston has had a magical year, and they have home field. So who knows?

As for the NL? I'm pulling for the Brewers but if Ryu and Kershaw pitch like they have been, they will be tough to beat.

Let's have a frank discussion. Kershaw has come up short in the playoffs. If he delivered in the playoffs, the Dodgers would have won 2 ws in the past 5 years.

I don't disagree. He's treated like he walks on water but I think he's well past his peak. He should separate from the Dodgers after the season.

Having said that, he's still capable of pulling off amazing performances. We'll see.

    Hyun-Jin Ryu > Clayton Kershaw.

If I were the Yankees I would sign Ryu over Kershaw, Happ, and Sabathia.

    Plus he will be cheaper.
