Hint: it's not players kneeling during the National Anthem. Nope. It's ****ty games because of cheap-ass owners--or is that greedy-ass owners or, perhaps, I should say, prima donna owners?

Oh, did I mention that the Owners are what is wrong with football?

https://www.msn.com/en-us/sports/nf...ls-woes/ar-BBETgqu?li=BBmkt5R&ocid=spartandhp

Why do I blame the owners? Simple--did any of you watch a game yesterday?

Let's look at the clown show in Denver last night, a game which was supposed to be the marque match-up of the week. It was anything but. The starting QB from a supposedly Superbowl ready team was a reject from Cleveland---yeah, that Cleveland, the 0 and whatever Cleveland Browns. How the hell is a guy who cannot even stick to the roster of the leagues worst team supposed to be the starter on one of it's best? Who the hell made that call? And, one has to ask. Why the hell does Denver not have a good QB?

I'll tell you why. Money. Call it the system of cheap which does not allow a team, like the Broncos, to go out and buy a good QB on the free agency market. Nope. the owners made sure that no such competitive system would ever be allowed in the NFL. So, you have hard caps and rights of first refusal and mandatory compensation via draft picks and franchise tags instead of two good teams playing each other on Prime Time Sunday broadcasts. WTF?

But, hey. Let's blame it on players taking a knee. I know some still will.

1) Oversaturation, Monday, Thursday and Sunday
2) Greed, parking fees, food, soft drinks and beer, souvenirs, programs, basic ticket prices(most season packages require up front
payment, including pre-season
3) Over coverage, radio, television, social media
4) Hypocrisy Abusing the product (the players) covering/ignoring early calls for the medical damage that the sport was causing and
selling the “greatest hits” videos and stills even after the damaging effects were publicized
5) Product dilution, remember when every team had above average QBs? Some had two
6) Competition for attention and dollars
7) Public understanding of the medical risks involved

I may have missed a few........

Maybe peyton becomes the coach next year and they trade for eli as the qb?

Correct, And more than anything else, he does not have a star quarterback attitude.. Sure he has some talent, but he wants to be an activist first, quarterback second.. If you look at any "good/great" quarterback, they put football ahead of everything else..

Being a successful quarterback ( probably the most important position on the team) requires total dedication. Not 75% dedication and 25% activism.

Like it or not, it's not his talent, It's his attitude. ( And his attitude being what it is affects his talent)

Might be "Had some talent which was highly dependent upon his youth which is mostly gone now" actually....

Even without his well documented attitude problems he is no catch at his age.

I am so sick of NFL football. I now watch college.

Another problem is NFL quality has dropped and injuries have increased I believe because of the CBA rules. Very little full contact is allowed during ODA's, spring training etc.

Colin Kaepernick: Career Stats at NFL.com

I wouldn't exactly call these good stats, and I wouldn't exactly want someone with his "distraction persona" on my team, and my "distraction persona" position is the same with numerous other current and past players, including: Johnny Football, Randy Moss, Terrell Owens, Odell Beckham Jr., ... ...

There are MANY things wrong with football... but the biggest one for me, before this kneeling during the anthem nonsense, is how rigged the games feel... and how often one team blows out another team in the first half, but then they become as competent as a sub-par high school team in the second half and end up blowing their huge lead...

NFL needs to look at what the English Premier League do with prime time games. It changes month to month based on the standings. Everyone wants to see playoff relevant matchups.

Flip Flopper flip flopping again.

When kap first kneeled it made me cringed because I have many military friends. Many friends I knew that sacrificed their life for this country.

But when Kap spoke I heard a very articulate man that had a just cause and was speaking for the many in this country that get brutalized and killed by cops in our country.

I wished he left the flag out of it but Kaepernicks movement is bigger than football. It symbolizes the injustice in our country that has been ignored.

Wait, not you like him again. Just a few weeks ago you slandered him. Troll much?

You slandered him by saying he declined the seahawks contract offer when the seahawks never had any intentions on signing him.

Bwahahahaha. Make **** up why don't you?

3 things for me...

1) level of play. It's awful. Especially at the QB position. The QB's and linemen aren't learning the pro game at all in college. Then as rookies they get thrown into the starting lineups in the NFL without knowing a damn thing, and it shows.

2) selfishness. I'm tired of a celebration after every single play.. me, me, me. Guy makes a tackle and he needs to celebrate? That's what he's getting paid to do. They seem to care more about celebrating than winning. If they don't care if they win or not? Then I don't care if they win either.

3) too many games on. Over saturation. Dump the Thursday night game, or at least cut it way back. Maybe have 6-7 games on Thursday a year. And only play the games with teams coming off a bye.. They start the byes on week 3? 4?.. End it on week 12? So from week 4 to week 12 have 6 games, and again only schedule the 2 teams that are on a bye/coming off a bye. I hear Roethlisburger is now blasting the TNG game. Besides the over saturation the players don't like it, and I can't blame them.

Hmmm...

You say there is a QB that would give any team in the NFL a better chance to win?

You also say that there is a vast conspiracy to keep this guy out of the NFL?

Interesting theory. How do you feel about UFO's?

How do you feel about CK quitting on his last team? How do you think other coaches feel about this?

See, we dont know.

Probably physically good to go.

He needs a new haberdasher.

From the neck up, he's a dumpster fire.

But the anthem has nothing to do with it?

It's gotten boring.
The same teams wining all the time.
Just doing the bare minimum to win.
Personal efforts being put ahead of team success.
Too many players depending on hitting and not tackling.
Too much reliance on instant replays to review the plays.

I'd love to see the NFL and the NCAA go to a more rugby style of tackling, where you have to actually take hold of the player and bring them to the ground instead of just dropping your shoulder trying to knock them down.
Get rid of the hard helmets and facemasks and go to a rugby style soft helmet.
Make kick-offs interesting by moving the kick-off point to the 40 yard line and if the ball goes through the uprights, you spot the ball on the 10, if it goes through the end-zone (without going through the uprights) it gets' spotted on the 35, all other kicks are live balls and you have to return them.
Make punting more interesting by not allowing any cover players to go downfield until after the ball has been kicked and bring an end to fair catches, but use the CFL rule of giving the returner a buffer. All punts are live balls, so you either catch the punt and run or the other team gets it.

Kap has two things going against him: his political stance and race.

Black quarterbacks cannot afford to screw up in this league. They aren't given as much leeway as their white counterparts. Tyrod Taylor, a fairly good qb was benched without regards yet qbs like Blake Bortles, Brock Osweiler, and Jay Cutler are given chance after chance after chance.

The NFL treats white qbs much differently than black qbs. A garbage qb like Josh McCown gets a starting job and has been on 11 NFL teams yet CK can't get signed? How is Jay Cutler a starter, when he literally quit on his teams in the past?

I don't know that the Black QB Ban story holds water after Doug Williams. Zimmer indicates that Bridgewater will start this year. The Vikes are in first place without him. If Black QB's were banned, that seems to be an odd decision.

It seems like if the Devil could win a Super Bowl, Most GM's would be on the first trolley to Hell to sign him.

CK is radioactive and it has zero to do with him being Black.

The wins for the 49'ers seem to be declining year after year since their SB appearance.

From 2013 to 2017 YTD, their seasonal wins are: 12, 8, 5, 2, 1.

This shows pretty clearly that CK's presence or absence is not the reason they currently suck. However, it also shows he's not the answer to their problems.

Does Newton know that he should not be allowed to play under the bias you think exists?

It is like you litefally have no idea what GMs do or how few good QBs there actually are...
