Will these UCLA boys be punished??

Pardon me I could care less about this stupid subject. Why bring it up. Shoplifting really???? With all that is going on in this country and around the World why would you bring this up. Is it because the players in question is black. Please spare me.

No, Not because they are black, it's because they are high profile USA College basketball players, I would assume they are going to China as basketball ambassadors to showcase their talent.. An when that talent includes shoplifting I think it needs to be "brought up".

Not only did they embarrass themselves, they embarrassed the UCLA basketball program, and the USA as well..

They should thank their lucky stars that the president was able to expedite their release ( and avoid possible jail time). They need to make a public apology to China, The school and to the American public.

Had this happened in Mexico, things might have been different, ( and not for the better).

I wonder how papa Ball would feel if people were shoplifting his shoe's?

At the very least, all three should all be kicked off of the UCLA basketball team. There have been college football and basketball players kicked off of their team for equal or lesser offenses.

And to the people who think this isn’t a big deal, these are not children. They are all at least 18 years old, grown adults. Letting them go with no punishment that detrimentally effects them at all will only feed their sense of entitlement.

How they could stay on UCLAs b-ball team...I dont know. On a team trip to a foreign country as ambassadors of the school, they got busted shoplifting. This should be a major embarrassment to the school.

So I just listened to they presser of the 3 apologizing & thanking those who stood beside them.. At least 2 of them admitted to shoplifting, so I guess there is not much of a doubt that they did it..

It was good to hear them say "I'm Sorry" to the Chinese people.

So I guess that they are REALLY lucky that Trump was kind enough to help save there skin,,

Having to set at a table, in front of the press, camera's flashing, recorders recording, knowing that this will get played over and over on major news and sports channels, Has to be a humbling(embarrassing) thing..

I don't know if this was the first time they have done this, But I bet they will think long and hard before doing it again.

Funny thing is, They were not poor kids, They had money, I bet this was a "I betcha I can do this" kinda thing.

I have no real opinion on any further punishment, I will leave that up to the coaches & parents.

Understand these punks attempted to steal from three stores, not just one and that is classified as looting. I wish they would have ben given 10 years.

They are 3 young men, not punks. Why such derogatory names against 3 black kids?
