I look at where this franchise was just a couple of years ago and conclude that someone down there found a magic wand.

Good for Houston, a little something to be happy about finally, considering all the misery from the flooding.
 
Congrats to the Astros! I've been rooting for them. Houston has suffered enough. They deserved the joy their team has given them tonight. Astros are true Word Champions and I am thrilled they beat the ugly Dodgers to take the title. Yeah, Houston!

I have highlighted this very important part of your post.
I would also add....."despicable", "evil", "obnoxious", "hideous" and "ghastly" to the list of Dodger descriptors.
Let's face it Di, the only thing that comes close to our Giants winning it all, is the Dodgers losing it all...at home..... in front of their fair-weather fans.
Ha-ha-ha-ha-haaaa..............suck it Dodgers.................did I mention despicable?

In Houston right now its overcast, humid and a little rainy and warm for October and NO ONE cares...Lol !

Maybe the yankees of the west can try again next year to buy a world series.
 
Congratz to the Astros, and Houston, and to Justin Verlander, who I have been a fan of since his first season. About the only thing left for him to accomplish is to actually win a World Series game.
