Every neutral I’ve read agrees it was a penalty. The only people that don’t are either Juve fans or Barca fans lol.
I urge you to watch the replay in slow mo, he goes through the player first and appears to make no contact with the ball. Even if he did make slight contact ( which he didn’t) it’s still s foul because he goes through the player from behind.

The only ones I have heard that it was a penalty were Real Madrid fans.

And he does not go "through" him. If that is going through him, then most tackles in the penalty area are penalties, including the attempted tackle by the Juventus player on the player that passed the ball.

You have 3 people in this thread alone who think it was a penalty and two of them are a Liverpool fan and an Evertone fan who never agree on anything when it comes to football.

The Wenger era is finally over! His first 10 seasons overshadowed by the last 12 but no matter what happens he will always have that "invincible team". Be nice for him to go out winning the Europa cup.

Tomorrow. Celtic-Rangers. Celtic 7 points ahead of second-place Aberdeen, Rangers three behind them. Celtic can clinch tomorrow, their second triple in a row. It'll be the first Old Firm title-decider in awhile, should be an amazing atmosphere at Parkhead.

Last time these two played- Celtic 4-0 Rangers. After tomorrow, everyone will be 35 games in.

CELTIC 5-0 RANGERS

And the universe is unfolding as it should!

How funny is this, Turkish fan gets 1-year stadium ban and then goes out and rents a crane to watch games.....LOL :D

Real Madrid tempting fate with those t shirts they wore after the game yesterday.

Thats just used for motivation. I dont see any negative karma attached to that

Yep and Real Madrids PR department has been in over gear the whole year promoting Ronaldo and co for every single "good" thing they have done... Fact is, if Real lose to Liverpool in the final, then this season will be absolutely catastrophic for the club.

And yet the PR department has been promoting Ronaldo for another Ballon D'Or and so on.

Worst part is, that history is against Real Madrid against Liverpool. All signs point to a Liverpool victory. We shall see.

One thing is for sure.. if Ronaldo wins Ballon D'Or yet again, then it is totally rigged. Salah and Messi should be fighting over the title, and Ronaldo should not even be a candidate in the top 5. I hope Salah wins tbh... of course that depends if Messi wins the WC.. then there is nothing that should prevent him from getting another one.

I'll be supporting Liverpool. I hate Madrid with a passion, still havent forgotten how they treated Sneijder and Robben

Be refreshing if Salah won though wouldn’t it?

Whats going with Klaassen?? I assume not good enough for EPL??

Big step for him but i blame our coaching situation this year. Lad is well liked and deserves another chance next year which from the sounds of it he will.

It would. But we both know that if Ronaldo and Real win the CL, then chances of that buffoon winning again are huge. It would not be the first time he won without deserving it. 2013 comes to mind.. should have been Franck Ribery imo. Bayern won the Bundesliga and the CL... and yet Ronaldo gets the best player in the world.. not only ahead of Messi who was top scorer in La Liga and Barca won La Liga.. Then there was the 2014 award... again Ronaldo. 3rd in La Liga, yes top scorer and winning the CL. However it was a World Cup year, with a dominating Germany and no German World Cup winner as the best player? Come on..

No doubt that Ronaldo is a great striker, one of the best ever.. but winning during years he accomplishes almost nothing is pathetic. So it is Salah for me, depending on who wins the WC. If Brazil wins, then hmm could be Neymar depending on his performance.

EPL is a big cultural change... he is use to a very technical game, and compared to where he came from.. the EPL is Mad Max rugby game. Lots of players who are used to a technical game fall flat on their faces when coming to the EPL... not because they are bad players, but because they are in the wrong team.

Case in point.. Mo Salah, Chealski and utter failure because the Chealski team he was part of, was a very physical and less technical team. He switches to a league where being technical is more important, and well. Then he comes back to the EPL in a team that is bursting with technical players and well. Another one is De Bryune. Everton at the moment at least, aint technically based enough for such a player to flourish and that certainly aint gonna happen under Sam "The bull" Allardyce. He is a classic long ball, kick rush type manager.

Not with Big Sam in the manager seat. Everton will return to a long ball type team, and dont need a technical guy in the middle. They need a hardass cleaning up type.

I think its also a case of one big step up too soon. Depay is a classic example, he shouldve gone to France for a couple of years first, and then make the leap to the big 3 Euro nations. Right now he's doing great for Lyon, but he sucked total ass when he was at ManU

Nope. Depay went into a poor technical team. When you have Fallani as one of the better "technical" players, then you know you are in trouble. Man U has gone down hill massively since Fergie and is more a kick and rush/long ball team now days than a "barca" like technical team. Reason Depay is doing great.. Lyon actually plays football!

Thoughts on the Barca loss? I was sure you would go unbeaten.
