Just wondering on other opinions for this topic. I personally think this was a terrible decision (across all pro sports it could be one of the worst). I think it opened the door for other MMA leagues as well. Not to mention there are dozens of other ways to have gone about this. And knowing how much money the fighters were losing? Crazy talk. What do you think the end result is here?

No story link??
A little background on this deal would help me opine on this subject.
I'll do some research on my own and get back to you.
Maybe.

It screws the fighters, but it also benefits other promotions that will allow sponsors. I'm all for competition when it comes to MMA. From a fans perspective it also makes the product more boring to me. I thought all of the different sponsors added a uniqueness to every fighter that is missing now.

Yea. I don't want to influence too much but here are the basics.

And google will give you a hella ton of info on this. Big news in MMA.

Well said. I never has an issue with the sponsoring. It wasn't any more distracting than a NASCAR or all the ring sponsors. And it was unique. The least they could have done was limited the number of sponsors. Or limited the placement/type of sponsors for the fighters. The new gear even looks stupid.
