I heard this on the radio while driving home last night. Rodgers has only 72 interceptions to his 297 TD passes, and he will be the first QB to reach 300 TD passes while throwing fewer than 100 INT's. Amazing to beat that standard by over 25%.

Tom Brady? He threw 115 to reach 300.

That difference is huge. It means AR is 50% more efficient on holding onto the ball than is TB.

What's even more amazing is that the average number of INT's thrown by the 10 QB's who hit 300 TD's is 171. That means Rodgers, with only 72, has roughly 100 fewer INT's then the average for the 10 most prolific QB's to ever play the game. A 100!

At this pace (under 25 INT for every 100 TD), he'll probably have 400 TD's before throwing his 100th interception. GOAT material for sure.

I think we saw the GOATness of AR last year, BTW. He took a team that should not have even beaten the Bears to the NFC Conf Championship. Rodgers is the LeBron of Football: a single player who can make or break a team.

Being on a good, well coached team does not the greatest quarterback make. Brady is certainly great. But, Rodgers' stats prove he is greater. :)

I dislike both, but respect TB more for his well publicized work out/life style. Who will be remembered in 100 years, the one with the rings..........example already been used on another thread, if you throw for more yards and lose the game on the scoreboard....

When he throws 50% more picks than the guy he is supposed to be better than...it kind of blows up that silly Brady is GOAT story.

GOAT arguements are the result of the egos of the players and the fans. The most ridiculous ones involve faded stars of past eras attempting to stay in the public eye. The fame is addictive, example: The Washington Redskins held a rally before a game that honored the Joe Gibbs era players that won a couple of SB's. John Riggins (whom I do like) was the only player to arrive in full football regalia, all the others were dressed in street clothes. Joe Thiesmann asked him after the event, "why?" Riggins said "I just wanted to hear it one more time!" The crowd did approve.....


Beside int's blames goes heavily against the passer when the fault is many times on the receiver..........

I think both Brady and Rodgers had relatively equal receivers. Brady had Moss for a year though and it sure showed what a WR like him can do for a good QB like TB. Amazing year.

Can you imagine either TB or AR on the Falcons last year? Holy crap. Each one would have thrown a 100 Touchdowns.

lol...speaking of Leaf. The guy picked before him, Peyton Manning, actually has a better head to head record in the playoffs against Brady than I thought.

Stunningly, as reported by some radio jock the other day, Manning is 3-1 against Brady in the AFC Conference final and 3-2 over all. Brady has not beaten Manning in the playoffs since 2005.

How many super bowl rings/victories does Aaron Rodgers have? Being better than Brady is one (or a few) statistic does not make you "the GOAT".

Brady has won 183 games and lost 52 times and has won 25 playoff games while loosing 9 playoff games.

Aaron Rodgers has won 90 games and lost 45 times, in the playoffs he has won 9 and lost 7.

Rodgers 1 SB ring and once SB MVP.

Brady 5 SB rings and 4 time SB MVP.

Rodgers is an awesome QB and a fine fellow IMHO (from what I have seen and read about him) but the GOAT he is not.

Football is more of a team sport than any other one I can think of besides Soccer. A great QB with a ****ty defensive team is never going to win a Super Bowl, for example, a fact both Dans: Marino and Fouts; can attest to.

Somewhat an irrelevant stat since all 3 of those wins were @ home.

Manning's legacy is forever stained. He choked against the Seahawks in the Super Bowl. He wasn't a major player in the Super Bowl victory over the Panthers.

Manning's signature win? Against Rex Grossman and the Bears. While Manning's playoff career has been pedestrian, Brady has been....inspiring.

Unless you have had your head buried in the sand, you would know Montana has been considered the golden standard of QB's by the fans & media since the day he retired. If Super Bowls were not a factor, Montana would be 4th or 5th down the list of the all time greats. If regular season stats were the standard, then Manning would be number one.

Brady quarterbacked his teams to the Super Bowl 7 times....... think about it........SEVEN.

Brady has more playoff wins during his tenure than 28 other teams have in their complete history in the NFL.

Put Manning on that same Patriots team. Where do you think that number would stand?

Put Brady on the Colts. Where would that number stand?

Montana did what he did with a fairly decent, slightly above average team that had some solid offensive weapons and a pretty good Defense. He stands alone, IMO. Brady was all the good fortune of being on a great team. Manning got screwed...until his last year.

Put Brady on the Packers and Rodgers on the Pats. Hell, has Rodgers ever had a coach who is even remotely HOF material like Brady's Belichick?

At least Manning had Dungy. A solid coach. But, they never really had a good team. Not even close. Manning's best team was in Denver.

Manning had great teams in Indy. He had at any given time 4 of the best offensive weapons in football and a strong O line. The Colts D was solid.

So you are saying that Rodgers had a solid enough team around him to put up the statistics you are crowing about...but not solid enough to win championships?

Tom Brady. 7 Superbowls. 5 Championships. No one better. GOAT. Dont hate...just appreciate.

Rogers has the lowest number if interceptions per 300 TD's in the history of the game, by almost 50 picks. He's 100 picks under the average of the 5 best QB's ever. That really is quite amazing.

No. I am saying Rodgers holds onto the ball better than anyone ever. And, not turning the ball over is a huge part of the game, perhaps even the most important part of being a good quarterback.
