Nhl 2017-2018

For those of you who think what you do or how you watch might affect the outcome of the game somehow....

you need to accept the fact that you’re not that important.

And the Caps can certainly **** this up by themselves without anyone’s help.

If there's a sport where youre allowed to indulge in silly superstitions, it's the one where everyone stops ****ing shaving for 2 months for good luck

I dont think thats crazy - there’s probably psychological effects from doing superstitious stuff in sports.

But you’re not anywhere near the ice.

Is it just me or does the ice seem slow and a little sloppy?

God I ****ing love hockey!

After a hard-fought and unforgettable season, the Washington Capitals are bringing home their first Stanley Cup victory in franchise history! Click herefor the latest coverage of this historic victory.

Ovechkin deserved to hold that cup first.
He worked so hard for it and the emotions for him were very touching.

Congrats to the Capitals. Ovechkin finally gets to hoist the Cup!

WOW! The very long dry spell is over. Stanley Cup Champs! How sweet it is!

Congrats to the Capitals and all their long suffering fans. As with the Philadelphia Eagles, if my team can't win I'm delighted when a team that has not enjoyed a championship gets one for their loyal fans.

Congrats Caps. They surely deserved to win the SC this year.

Can someone please tell me who that absolutely GOD-AWFUL group was who "performed" before the game started? The one's who were out on the raft in the middle of some water fountain thingy? My god....that crap was so awful it made the performance of Fall Out Boy in Washington seem not-so-bad afterall.

The NHL really needs to get a grip on that crap. Just awful.

I'm a lifelong Rangers fan. We bleed Rangers blue in this house. And I still couldn't be any happier for the Capitals and especially Ovechkin. I'll admit that I cried when I watched him hoist the Cup. Congratulations to the Caps and their long suffering fans!

I wonder if Trotz will be back?

I had (wrongly) expected that Vegas would have made that a closer series.

On a different note, how big of a target will Wilson have on his back once the 2018-19 season starts?
Especially when he plays Pittsburgh.

I believe Wilson is accustomed to that. He cultivates it.

Heading downtown to watch the game Tonight, and if necessary Sunday.

If we somehow blow both of those, then I'm learning my lesson and going back to (sadly) only paying half attention to game 7 while playing video games or doing something else.

(yay superstitions. Went on vacation during the Pen's series. Since that point, every game that I sat down and watched intently from start to finish we have lost. Every game that I've been doing something else while the game was on or missed parts of it, we have one. Up 3-1, I'm willing to take the chance of screwing up Karma because I REALLY want to be able to actively be watching when/if they win it)

So where you part of that big watch party they showed on TV? If so, did you make it on TV? Did you manage to get any sleep last night or too wired from the endorphin rush?

I was not able to be in the stadium as I wasn't one of the people lucky enough to get tickets in the 3 minutes they were available :p

I was part of the giant group of people outside. I was down the alley in front of the portrait gallery (straight out, and then up a right side alley, from the stadium).

I've never seen the city so overflowing with red, so many people on the streets, so many people of all stripes just happy and celebrating and having a crazy time. I was also happy that, while I was there at all, there was a ton of celebrating but no stupidness in terms of damage. It was a crazy atmosphere and so loud. Coming into town on the metro I would've thought an actual playoff game was happening in town, not thousands of miles away.

Leaving was amazingly fun as most cars that would drive by would slam their horn in the *HONK HONK HONK* rhythm followed by everyone on the street still doing the "LETS GO CAPS". It was none stop high fives as you walked by other amped up people.

Was just amazing. I didn't get home till nearly 3:00 AM. And honestly today is now a whole second wave of things because now I'm actually getting to see all the celebration and such from the game far more up close in terms of things like Ovi hoisting the cup.

I can't believe I'm saying this but your avatar is making me smile more than if that was Henrik Lundqvist in that picture.

My 14 year old daughter says they are called "PANIC! AT THE DISCO"....
