Terry Bradshaw(is an idiot) says Saban's salary is shameful

He has a right to his opinion.

Simply stating what he (apparently) genuinely believes is not being a troll.

Personally, I don't much care what Saban makes.

He seems like a dick...but he is a helluva college football coach (or he is helluva good at cheating and not getting caught or a combination thereof).

I'm pretty sure he was just saying it because 1) He's a Tennessee grad and they're stuck with Butch Jones 2) just to piss off Bama fans.

That being said I don't think Saban cheats, but he does take advantage of everything he can take advantage of, especially recruiting talent that he doesn't intend to use just to keep other schools from having it.

Also, he seems pretty genuine to me. A perfectionist, yes, but a dick, I dunno.

Well, if he cheats, you would not know it until the NCAA hit him with a suspension. Back in the 1980's, I thought SMU was doing a great job until they got hit *WHAM* with the 'death penalty'...and they have never recovered from it.

I am not saying he cheats. But my experience with NCAA football in the last 20-30 years suggests that any school that wins at college football that often for that long is often doing something funny with recruiting.

Well, it is shameful, but it's shameful across all of college sports, not limited to Saban. It's not Saban's fault the college is willing to pay him that much money.

C'mon, mini! TB is a Louisiana Tech grad. He said he was a TN fan! That's how it starts!

It is mind-boggling, but Nick Saban brings Alabama a poop load of money and asses in the seats and eyes on the tv.

Irrelevant. It's supposed to be an institution of learning, not a minor league football team. If Saban brings in a bunch of money, great...invest it into the education of the students of Alabama.

Hardly irrelevant in this day and age, I agree that the emphasis is misplaced, but this is the world we live in. Money is the MOST relavavent thing in this era, I don't agree but what are you gonna do?

These college coaches making millions is what is shameful. The kids are what we are watching... the coaches should get a regular teacher salary or all the coaches and players should equally share the television money and profits. College football is a joke anyway.

Paying a coach millions while giving athletes nothing but a scholarship to classes they don't attend or wouldn't pass anyway. How many college football players take classes which lead to real majors, like accounting, chemistry, biology, or engineering?

Basketball is worse, the best ones don't even go to class after the first semester. Scholarships are pretty much toilet paper for those dudes. They are just there to fast track into the NBA. Does anyone even watch regualr season College B-Ball anymore?

Regular season basketball is a joke... March Madness or nothing for me.

College football is ridiculous. Even with the new 4 team playoffs I could care less. I was into it the first year but not since. As we see with Wild Card teams like the Giants a few years ago, TWICE, is that they won the Super Bowl. Also, sports writers should not be declaring who makes the playoffs... it should be off of record alone, but you have all these 11-0 teams... who knows?

Didn't the first college playoffs a few years ago see #4 ranked Ohio win?
