2017 NFL Draft [W:89]

Re: 2017 NFL Draft

I am not opposed to second chances however I do believe in consequences. The Patriots invested a 4th round pick on Aaron Hernandez. That was an appropriate amount of risk given his character issues. A 4th round pick hardly has any job security compared to a first or second round pick.

Reese admits Patriots knew Hernandez had issues | ProFootballTalk

Okay Calamity read this part very carefully:

You act as if the Patriots knew he was a murderer before drafting or giving him a contract extension?

Your own quote showed exactly where the Pats went wrong: handing a thug $40 Million without strings. So, my original post on the matter was dead nuts accurate.

The hatred you exhibit for the Patriots is evident.

Mr. Kraft was right:

Robert Kraft said that "envy and jealousy" played a role in the NFL's Deflategate sanctions against his team, which made the comeback victory in Super Bowl LI "unequivocally the sweetest" of New England's five titles.

New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft say 'envy and jealous' played role in Deflategate penalty

Re: 2017 NFL Draft

Was that an attempt to justify the cheating or extending the contract of a murderer? I can't tell.

You honestly should be ashamed of yourself. Supporting a 6 foot 230 pound man that punches a woman half his size. He has trouble with authority figures by attacking parking attendants as well.

I'm a Christian. I don't condone assault. An athlete punching a woman requiring her jaw wired shut is never acceptable in my book. Maybe your moral compass allows such a thing but I wouldn't know how to explain that to my daughter.

Big man Calamity.

But shooting a man in cold blood is A-Ok as long as he catches Tommy boy's balls.

The Patriots didn't sign or draft him knowing he killed a man.

The Bengals on the other hand....

The owner of the team wrote this to his fans:

The Bengals take pride in our hometown and want to provide winning football on the field and successful players off the field. That is the reason we drafted Joe – he is a rare football talent, and his conduct over the past three years leads us to believe he can help us win football games and also become a productive member of this community.

In making our decision, we took a risk. In this case, the risk has an upside as well as a downside. We believe Joe has put this behind him and that he can turn into the player and community member that creates a plus for Cincinnati. We are going to do everything in our power to make this happen. Our hope is that time will prove that this opportunity is deserved, and perhaps – if given a chance – Joe can write a chapter in Cincinnati sports history that both he and Cincinnati can be proud of.

Thank you.

Sincerely,

Mike Brown, President

The Pats certainly knew that Hernandez ruptured a man's eardrum by punching him in the head when asked to leave a bar, and they also knew he was involved in a double shooting in Florida when he was a Gator. GMAFB.

None of those things indicate that a man is a cold-blooded killer.
