Future HOF QB Tony Romo retires

One of The All Time Greatest?

 As a cowboy fan he's not even Danny White.

If Romo does make the HOF with just 6 playoff games and 2 wins it will certainly change how QBs get in.

He's more than White but not as great in Cowboy history as Dandy Don Meredith

Not a future hall of famer and not one of the all time greats

He had more passing TD's and yards than Troy Aikman. His int% was better than Aikman.

When you are the starting QB for the Dallas Cowboys, you are in the national spotlight. He had a better career than Aikman who is universally praised as one of the all-time greats.

Romo is the all-time leading passer of the Cowboys and 29th on the NFL’s all-time list. His 34,183 yards puts him ahead of Hall of Famers Steve Young (33,124), Y.A. Tittle (33,070), Troy Aikman (32,942) and Kurt Warner (32,344). Romo’s 248 touchdowns place him 21st all time, with seven seasons seeing him rank in the top 10. His career touchdown rate (5.7 percent) moves him up to 17th and his career interception ratio (2.7 percent) is the 31st best in NFL history, making him one of the most efficient passers to ever put on cleats.

Only Peyton Manning (7.23) has a higher net yards-per-attempt average than Romo (7.09) among nonactive quarterbacks. No quarterback eligible for Canton has a higher career passer rating.

He had better stats but this in an era where every QB has super inflated stats, as far as his career even Romo would trade his own for Aikman's in a heartbeat.

He won as many Superbowl titles as Steve DeBerg. Impressive.

When you start for any NFL team you're in the national spotlight.

Face it: Romo is what kept the Cowgirls from winning the Superbowl or even getting there.

Over his career, they are 78-49 when he starts and 10-23 when he has been out.

After 1-11 stint last year, Cowboys must find way to win without Romo - Dallas Cowboys Blog- ESPN

Here is a little fact for you. His career QB rating is nearly identical to Tom Brady.

Yeah. He's a greatest choke artist of all-time nominee

Romo has had phenomenal fourth-quarter QB ratings. This 2012 article states his career 102.1 QB rating in the fourth-quarter is the best among active QBs in the league, considerably surpassing the elite QBs like Aaron Rodgers, Peyton Manning, Drew Brees, and Tom Brady. His 2012 rating (101.2) and 2013 rating (105.6) means he is likely still the best in the league in the fourth-quarter.
In games in Dec. and Jan. Romo has 63.3 completion % and 50 TD vs. 29 INT

Sometimes you need to look at the statistics instead of listening the fake news media.

Its not the ones he won that keep him from being great...its the ones he lost. Its not the completions...its the drive and game killing interceptions. Rome did not elevate his team to greatness. He was not a great quarterback.

Jerry Jones failed him.

Here are some little facts for you: he's got no rings and Romo is what kept the Cowgirls from winning the Superbowl or even getting there.

You can whine about stats to your heart's content: it won't change a thing that he's never going to the Hall of Fame unless he purchases tickets.

By your definition, than Dan Marino isn't a hall of famer either.

Jerry Jones failed him.
I know...right? He missed that block. Blew that route. Threw the pass wide. Fumbled the ball.

How do you tout his career stats only to blame Jerry Jones for his failings?

just hope he does not trip over the microphone and hurt himself

He only won 2 puny playoff games and no Superbowl rings

That is not up to Dallas Cowboys standards
