Which NHL team should I follow?

I'm starting to get into the NHL and I wondering what I team I should follow since there is no real close one near by (the closest would be Vancouver). So do you guys have have any recommendation on which team I should make my as my own?

I will call myself an LA Kings fan. Simply because my favorite SoCal talk station carried the games and I would listen when they played

You could also try Columbus. They are overachieving a bit this year, but they should be good and fun to watch for quite a few years.

I will think I will try Vancouver since they are closest (even though they are in a losing season at the moment), and I like there color scheme.

Welcome to the best professional sport on the planet!!

I'm biased, but the most exciting, up and coming team this year and into the near future is the Toronto Maple Leafs - best young talent in hockey today, best coach in hockey, and celebrating their 100th year this year. They're not great and they still make lots of mistakes, being young, but ask many in the know and they will say the Leafs are the most fun team to watch in the league.

And, if things work as expected, there could be a team in Seattle in the next 10 years.

I do not want to wait a decade. lol

Canucks are loathed by pretty much everyone in Canada except maybe a few dozen in the Vancouver area.

I live in BC and the vast majority are Canucks fan. I loved it when they were beaten in the finals by Boston.

Are you watching the game tonight? Total embarrassment. Only good thing for Detroit is Russo's first game.

I missed the game. Was feeling kind of blah today. Yeah, the wings are a shadow of their former selves. But, being from MI, it's a cardinal sin not to root for them :).

Quenneville doesn't coach the Maple Leafs.

Mainly it is there color scheme is similar to the old school Seattle Seahawk jersey.

That's relatively recent. They used to look like this

I don't know all the details, but isn't Seattle waiting for a new arena to be built and that's conditional upon Seattle getting a new NBA franchise?

that or a NHL team, but as of right now the NHL is focused on expanding in the south and the NBA is expanding period and the NBA is made it clear that they will do everything they can to make sure Seattle never gets a team again.

This might help you with what team you should not choose to follow...

TY, I have decided to be a Canuck fan (already bought a hat) even though these past 5 games have been tough to watch. I think it is cool I get 15% off for being a veteran at the NHL online shop and free two day shipping thanks to shop runner.
