Nfl 2017 [W:1941,2227]

I have another one, just saw Bill Cosby with an Eagles outfit, if that is not a reason for a non-Eagles or non-Patriots fan to support the Patriots I do not know what is ;)

Just kidding Eagles fans, I know you cannot help which celebrity supports your team, it was just a joke (poor joke maybe, but still intended as a joke).

I feel a similar way about that creepy relationship with Patriot owner Kraft and Trump. ick ick But unless or until I talk myself out of it, I hope the Patriots win...not rooting for them...I hope to have something better to do come game time.

I am a Dutch Patriots fan an I always hope they win.

NWE opened at -6 to -6.5 which has settled around -5.5, give or take a half point.
Over/under has bumped up to 48, give or take a half, 49 at one offshore.
Dome, more timeouts, Steratore, UBU RAP system for turf ;

Bouye, Ramsey and company are worse at mugging receivers than New England.
JAX had that reputation coming in, and not getting called on it, fake sports news.

It takes a whole lot to be worse than NWE on mugging on every play and 'dare you to call it'.
Belichek certainly changed the NFL with this mugging on every play in 2000.

The fact is that the physical and mental talents of the referees can not possibly keep up with today's athletes, as in every sport.
With replay, that ball was pinned to the hip of the NWE player for a split second.
I haven't seen a replay yet of that clock violation.

JAX played offense for 3 quarters, then went away from their creativity.

And to be very honest, I'd be arguing the equally valid other side if I would had JAX straight up, though that's what's important in Real Life.
And, I'm enjoying the 'Zyphlin' style of posting, long-winded ...

**** me.

I have to cheer for the ****ing patriots.

God damn Jaguars and Vikings. Neither of you could've managed to do something right could you?

'Pretty Boy Tom Brady' the ****talk has already started ... :hitsfan:

This Giant fan had a dilemma deciding who to back in the Super Bowl....can't stand Patriots...hate the Eagles.... so I have come up with a plan to back the Patriots.

Let Brady be the most winningest QB, who lost only 2 of them...to the NY GIANTS and Eli Manning. Go Brady!

I hate the Pats, but this year I too will be wishing the team well in the SB. Probably because I hate Philly fan a little more than I do Patriot fan.

Right after Brady wins the game, who is the first to come running and congratulate him? The ref. You cant make this up.

it looks like Foles and his Eagles will win and join the Patriots in the Super Bowl. How many people think that away from home Foles and the Eagles will be able to defeat a well rested (and healed) Brady and his offense?

50-50

Eagles are a solid team, and Foles is better than most people give him credit for.

At least the press can't jump Bortles for this one. He played great overall.!

He certainly looked good from what little I saw last night---admittedly, I quit watching midway through the second quarter.

I was hoping for a Vikings win just to see them get to play a SB at home.

And for Millie!

I was hoping for Vikings vs Jags, just for something different. Didn't the Patriots already beat Philly once in a SB?

So let's take inventory shall we:

Eagles/Patriots
Pink on National Anthem
Timberlake @ Halftime
Last few years the commercials have been increasingly uninspired and depressing
Protests
Bad officiating is almost the norm now

YIKES, I will watch, at least for a bit, but I am going in with low expectations.

They already are. The word is that all you need to know about how Jacksonville feels about Bortles happened at 55 seconds left in the first half. Kneel, Kneel.

I find no compelling storyline pulling me into watching this year's game. Like you, I might watch some, but I have absolutely zero interest in this game.

Last weekend's games were exciting and classic. Yesterday's games? Not so much.. What a difference a week makes.

From the link:

". . . The Jaguars were called for two defensive pass interference penalties against the Patriots. They had been flagged for an NFL-low five during the regular season. The Jaguars also had the NFL's least-penalized defense this season, with a total of nine penalties, accepted or declined, for defensive pass interference, defensive holding or illegal contact. . . ."

The PI called right before halftime surprised me because that ball was not at all catchable. However, I did not flip out over the call because the Jag definitely shoved the Pat out of bounds. Nonetheless, would that have been called on NE? I tend to doubt it.

Another bad call besides the phantom delay of game in the first half was the quick whistle on the fumble recovery. Jack had a TD there, if that FOB (friend of Brady) had not tooted his whistle.

Millies old. Tell her one of the teams is the Vikings...she probably wont know the difference. ;)
