Nfl 2017 [W:1941,2227]

Well, didn't quite work out as hoped but at least Pete Carroll knows what areas to work on.

Number one is the protection of Wilson. Same problem last year.

Disappointing was Eddie Lacy's performance.

Impressed was running back Chris Carson.

Nirvana was seeing that Earl Thomas is back in the house and is the same old Earl Thomas.

Also, they need to add to Pete Carroll's list is to pay the refs more than the opponents paid them.

A lot of teams have trouble with edge rushers. The Seahawks O-line is extremely weak, they can't even guard inside Dts/nt's.

The Packers Mike Daniels could not be blocked from the inside. If you cannot block a DT, the QB has no shot.

The Seahawks will struggle against the 49'ers. They actually have a very good front 7. They probably will still win however the 49'ers defense will bully the Seahawks o-line.

yea, that 49ers front 7 really gave cam a difficult time yesterday
if he could throw accurately, the panthers may have scored triple digits on that vaunted defensive line

He's the worst qb in that division. He gets a pass for some reason but imo he's an average immoral qb.

I wonder if Cinci, Houston, Indy and AZ are really as bad as what we saw yesterday.

I suspect the Giants missed OBJ, but they may be bad either way.

Dallas, GB and Philly no surprise. They are the top teams in the NFC. Rams? Probably not.

Oakland--just win Baby!

INDY - They are done. Chuck Pagano is done. Andrew Luck can return them to mediocre but they need a new voice and direction
CINY - Probably not as bad however Marvin Lewis should have been fired already. They can't win in the playoffs.
NY - Worst team in the NFC East. They rely too heavily on Odell.
OAK - They are a good team however in the AFC Beast they could easily be a 3rd or 4th place team.

no doubt. great natural athleticism that got him where he is, but his arrogant attitude, his lack of game knowledge, and his weak throwing mechanics have been made apparent since he arrived
and despite those multiple weaknesses, he destroyed the front seven of the 49ers

His completion % is embarrasing. 52.9% last year.

14 for 25 yesterday and still lit it up against that front 7 you tell us are quite good

171 yards is lighting it up?

look at the score
then imagine what would have happened to your front 7 if cam could actually hit who he was aiming for

49'ers contained the run and contained newton. 49'ers defense is hurt by the fact their offense can do nothing.

we have very different opinions about what constitutes 'contain'

AFC East--I doubt Buffalo is for real, and I know the Jets suck. We can maybe see some improvement from Miami, and make a case. But, be real here. The Fins could not carry Oakland's jock. NE is the only team that might beat Oakland in that division. And, right now, my money is on the RayDuhs.

AFC West is by far the toughest division in Football. KC, Denver, Chargers and Oakland are all top tier teams who would compete with NE for the AFC Least title. Three of those four teams would beat NE at least once. Two of them could probably do it twice, IMO

I'll give you 7, not 14.

Eli has never been an accurate passer, but damn, he was really awful yesterday.

Steelers looked so-so.

Ravens looked damn good.

I'm glad I have Stafford on a couple of my fantasy teams.

IMO Steelers looked great because their defense looked dangerous.

Steelers pass rush hasn't been vaunted since 2010. TJ Watt should easily get double digit sacks this year. Haden looked like a difference maker.

I am skeptical if the Steelers defense can sustain with major injuries however that unit looks extremely promising.

There's no way the Bills are for real. They sold off a bunch of players right before the season started, they only won because Jets. I could see the Bills going 4-12 or 5-11 easily.

Why just 7?

Did you actually see the game?

Jeremy Lane shouldn't have been ejected but the Seahawks offense cost that game for them TopCat.

They scored 3 points and Wilson fumbled that ball leading to the Packers TD.

Maybe. Seattle will be better for two reasons. They are at home and on fake grass. They usually play better under those circumstances.

The touchdown shouldn't have been called back. And the mugging Graham got in the end zone arguably cost them 4 more. Do the math.

Seattle offense was abysmal.
On the other hand, the defense held GB to 10 points in Lambeau despite being on the field most of the game(as you mentioned 7 points were on the offense)

You act as if the refs cost the game for the Seahawks.

Remember, the Packers defense is average at best.

The Seahawks are a 10 win team at best.

It is the first game. There is time for adjustments. There are 42 men on the sideline waiting for their chance to play. Perhaps we might see some new names on the O line next game

You mean like converting players that never played o-line in college and starting them?

The Seahawks O-line has been a problem for a while. It was average at best during their super bowl year.

Surely there are couple guys in that group of 42 who has played offensive line.

It was hoped that the last draft might offer some help but I heard that draft was the poorest for O-liners.
