Nfl 2017 [W:1941,2227]

Those who have been in combat and seen friends die often have a different view. Perhaps not constitutionally sound, but not without honor, either.

Some do. Others don't.

The diary of a delusional Seahawks fan.

Seahawks win by one possession with a questionable holding call not called on the Seahawks yet somehow the Seahawks smoked the Patriots?

LOL.

Newsflash, Patriots win when it counts, during the playoffs. Ya, Seahawks didn't need Lynch in the playoffs. Could have used him on the goalline. LOL!

All those super bowls...

Will the refs allow KC to stay close in the first half Thursday for good ratings? NE is currently favored by 6 in the 1st half and 9 for the game with an o/u of 24 and 48 respectively ...

The Chiefs are a quality football team. They are capable of winning.

Yes they are man. I've got them winning that division. I'm tempted to take the Chiefs at +350 on Thursday but will probably settle on the 9 points at -110 ...

Seahawks win it all.

Their window is closing.
People have been wishfully thinking that for going on 3 years now. Maybe one of these days it'll actually be true! Broken clock and all. Or more like broken record.

Will you say the same about the Pats' window when TB's 40 y/o arm inevitably turns to jello? Hell, I think you could say it already right now. Any team with Methuselah under center has a window closing faster than Earl Thomas on hapless TEs named Gronk.

Keep talkin' about the Seahawks' window though. It just validates what we already know: we're a significant threat to any team in the league and the haters are just holding out for some mercy one of these years. :)

I started binge watching Hard Knocks on the Tampa Bay Bucs this year and Im convinced the Bears General Manager Ryan Pace watches it. The Bucs kicker Roberto Aguayo gets cut during the broadcast and the Bears pick him up. LOL unbelievable.

Old sins cast long shadows. Cheatriots.

Look, I love ripping on the pats as much as the next guy, but glass houses.

Here, perhaps if you take these you'll remember...also apparently be a better cornerback too ;)

But it's okay, you'll just compensate by having your stud fifth roun-.....oh, wait a second, the Seahawks didn't have a 5th round pick because they got it removed for cheating.

Ragging on the Pats and such is an age old tradition, but can we get to something a bit more fresh than Cheatriots?

The Seahawks under Pete Carroll have been slapped three times now for illegal contact during practices. They also dodged a bullet for not disclosing Sherman's "significant" injury last year. No PED violations since '13 though, knock on wood.

Your Team Cheats - The Definitive Guide to NFL Cheating

They all push the rules right up to the edge, hopefully without going over. If they didn't, they wouldn't be very competitive. Pats get the brunt of cheating accusations, partly because deflategate is still fresh in everyone's memories, but mostly because they're so damn good at football.

You realize that the last "excessive contact" penalty occurred when two players bumped heads in no pad drills? And that it was self reported?

Yep. And the rule states players cannot practice (prior to a certain deadline) in such a way that puts them in direct competition with another player. But they were practicing that way, which is why they bumped heads and gave each other concussions. And is why they lost a 5th round pick and paid some fines.

It's not me you'd be agreeing with. See appendix G of the CBA:

"The intensity and tempo of drills should be at a level conducive to learning, with player safety as the highest priority, and not at a level where one player is in a physical contest with another player"

APPENDIX G OFFSEASON WORKOUT RULES – NFL NFLPA

Add to that:

"According to the team, the incident occurred when two players — a receiver and a defensive back — collided as they were going for a ball and hit heads during a drill when they were not wearing helmets."

Sorry man, I love the Hawks too but they were guilty on this one.

The NFC's is the Falcons conference. They changed their culture with a young coach and could dominate the next few years.

That division is stacked! I can see the Falcons winning 12-13 games and the Panthers winning 10-12.

Carolina will win that division this year ...

Doubt it. Falcons have a young, rapidly improving defense, and return a pro-bowl corner in Trufant who missed most of last season with injury. And they have their entire record setting offense returning outside of their Right Guard and Fullback. McCaffery should be an improvement, but I don't see any other aspect the Panthers substantially improved upon this year.

CAR gets SF and PHL; ATL gets SEA and DAL; nice for NE that they host ATL and CAR ;

A bit of a difference in the schedule, but a larger difference in talent between the two. Although I'm probably a lot more down on Newton then most people, because it seems like taking almost twice as many hits as Russell Wilson and multiple times as many as all other QBs has really started to wear him down.

I'm definitely not as up on the NFL and NCAAF as I need to be because of MLB, a great thing, and other matters. I would definitely take KC + 9 tomorrow night in NE if in Vegas. I see KC winning their division.

I also see the Titans joining the Predators as far as TEN winning their division. I don't see anyone stopping Dallas this year with a fresh RB coming off suspension ...

Oops;#447 was meant for you ...

ATL has better coaching and leadership. I am unsure if Cam Newton can lead a team through adversity.

@ NE in game 4 is the only loss I see for CAR in their first 8 games before they host ATL in game 9 ...
