I saw a clip once where he was run over by a player while he just wandered the sidelines in senility, a lot like Paterno "coaching" while he was passed out in the press box. The worship of these men into their 80s was sad to behold

Boys being brought up without good male role models is a serious problem. It has become the norm, even when there is a father around. Young men are routinely allowed to be ruined by women because men do not step up.

Being a 'man' in the sense Bowden (and it seems you) are thinking only means dying of a heart attack by 50 or in prison by 25. The fact is, they can wear jewelry and bench 500 pounds and take it up the ass, because these things have nothing to do with each other!
