"Last week the New York Giants got suspicious of the Pittsburgh Steelers during their game so after two takeaways from the Steelers, the Giants actually tested two of the footballs on the sidelines to see if in fact they were, dare I used the d-word, deflated," Glazer said. "Two of the balls came in under [the PSI weight], so they sent them in to the National Football League. Still waiting on a response from the NFL."

NFL: Giants didn't file formal complaint over Steelers allegedly deflating balls - CBSSports.com

Will the NFL do anything about this? Of course not. More proof that the original deflate gate was a farce and Tom Brady & the Patriots were framed.

Roger Goodell should be removed as NFL commissioner. This is a complete joke.

I guess I don't understand the problem. My thoughts are...#1 -- A ball inflated to proper PSI at room temperature will slightly deflate in cold surroundings. #2 -- why aren't the footballs quickly checked before they're put in service from the sidelines?

This doesn't have to be a scandal. Could just be physics.

So what am I missing?

IF this is true, the NFL owners should fire Rodger Goodell and every other exec in the NFL offices. EVERYONE! During the last deflategate there were Lawsuits.. Suspensions... Millions of $'s for reports and investigations? Years of embarrassment? And the NFL offices are so incompetent they allowed it to happen AGAIN!?!?!?

If any team was allowed to get ahold of the footballs and doctor them AGAIN?!?!?! How hard is it for the NFL to keep track of a bag of footballs before a F'ing game?

No excuses this time. If this is true it's time to clean house in the NFL offices.

What's a joke is that the Giants would send the balls to the NFL rather than to the game officials. There's such a thing as trail of possession with evidence. In the Cheatriot's case, the officials were the ones who tested the balls after taking them from the Cheatriot's equipment staff. So they had direct knowledge of possession and no possible ability to tamper with the balls before the officials had possession. What happened to the balls between the time the Giants' got control of them and the time they were given to the NFL??

This also ignores the fact that Brady and the Cheatriots were fined and suspended because Brady thumbed his nose at the NFL and refused to cooperate, destroying his phone. The cover up, after the crime, is what cost the Cheatriots.

I appreciate that as a blind fan of the Cheatriots you're entirely fair and balanced in your views on such matters, but to call this a joke even before anything comes out of it just proves your inability to accept the team you love are habitual, convicted, cheaters.

IF this is true I agree with your post.
Check out the NFL game ball procedures.....

NFL Game Ball Procedures | NFL Football Operations

Ridiculously convoluted procedures.
48 freaking game balls????!!!!
What could possibly go wrong?
My solution......one game ball, just like we had when we were kids....use it until it disintegrates.
See how simple that is?

The amount doesn't matter to me. I don't care if it's 1 ball, or a 100 balls. The NFL is a MULTI BILLION $ organization. With lawyers, and security experts galore. They just went through years of embarrassment, lawsuits, reports, etc. with the Pats deflategate. The NFL's own reports of the Pats deflategate showed how grossly incompetent the NFL was at handling and regarding the game day footballs.

Even if it 100 footballs the NFL has enough people and enough money to make sure the teams are no where near the game day footballs. This can NOT happen again. If it has Roger Goodell has to be fired. The incompetence of the NFL over the past 6-7 years is mind boggling. It's like amateur hour. This has to be the last straw.

Will there be a congressional hearing and will Ted wells get involved?

As nearly as I can tell, 12 game balls are given to each team's ball crew just before kick-off.
After that, the balls are in the unsupervised custody of each team.
I think the NFL needs to put a security crew on the sidelines just to keep an eye on the Patriots teams.
That being said, the balls are randomly checked after the games and the results are recorded.
So if the Steelers are guilty, the NFL should have the evidence in hand.

I resent the remarks that the Patriots are cheaters. They are mild milk toast compared to the Raiders, MY team. The Raiders KNOW how to cheat in the NFL. Ifs its banned now, its because THEY invented it in the first place. Stickem anyone? The Patriots are just a pale poor imitation of my Raiders, when it comes to cheating. My team INVENTED a whole NEW level of cheating in the NFL that hasn't been surpassed. Deflated balls. Pffff. Not even worthy of mention as cheating. Intercepting opposing teams signals, the Raiders have been doing that since the fricken sixties. Bug the locker room, been there, done that, still do. People who whine on about the Patriots being cheaters don't know jack all about the REAL cheating that goes on every day in the NFL. Cheating is every bit a part of the game as passing and running. The Patriots are piss poor cheaters if you ask me.

It's Obama's fault.

For the last 15 years, the NFL crowned Brady and the Patriots as above the rules. They finally enforced one and they're out to get him?

Destroyed his personal phone that had private information on it.

His lawyer offered to the let league officials look through the phone's messages under his and Brady's supervision.

Funny how you are all about personal rights until it comes to Brady.

C'mon!

Imagine how much progress we would make as a country if we reacted to anything as strongly as we do whenever a couple of footballs lose some PSI in the cold ass December Sundays.

I think the Patriots are sort of high-tech cheaters.
The old Oakland Raiders, in their glory days, were more like blunt-force trauma cheaters.
Atkinson and Tatum were infamous cheapshot artists.
Atkinson KO'ing Lynn Swann with a forearm is a classic example.
Steeler coach Chuck Noll referred to Atkinson as part of a "criminal element" in the NFL.
Of course, Chuck had Mel Blount, Lambert and Greene on his team, so he didn't have much room to talk.
Good times!!!

Typed in joe montana deflategate and got some interesting hits.

Such as illegal silicone spray on offensive lineman and stickum on a certain receiver .

I may be slightly biased, but Joe Montana was pure of heart and totally incapable of cheating.
Besides, Joe was a Niner, not a Raider.

Such as illegal silicone spray on offensive lineman and stickum on a certain receiver .

All documented Raider ploys.
I blame Al Davis--RIP.

IIRC that's the way it was before the Pats deflategate. The NFL officials lost track of the bag of footballs before the Pat vs Colts game. So they 'think' the Pats equipment guys doctored the balls. I don't care if the Pats mess with the balls or not, and I don't care this time if the Steelers did either. The point is after everything that happened last time, the NFL can't allow the EXACT same thing to happen again. IF it happened again, then everyone involved in the last deflategate, especially Goodell, and anyone else in the NFL offices should be fired.

The NFL can't do and act all outraged about what happened last time, and drag the last deflategate on and on and on for years, and through the courts, and then make the same exact mistake again. That's not acceptable. Heads need to roll this time. It's a bag of footballs, it's not rocket science. Just keep them in the control of NFL officials at all times. simple.

It would seem to be just that simple.
If that isn't the case....well, as you say.....heads should roll.

Yeah, as inept and leaky as the NFL offices are? No way anyone should trust them and turn over a personal phone. If they turned it in to the NFL within minutes every text and every contract on that phone would be on the Internet for all to see..

I didn't sign a contract to play in the NFL and I didn't sign onto the players' collective agreement with the NFL both of which just happen to require the players to fully cooperate with the league office when investigating matters such as this. Don't want to have your private, personal phone subjected to league rules? Don't play in the NFL or make sure your players' union doesn't sign a contract that requires you to fork it over.

So, no, it's not just about Brady. It's no different from players being suspended for smoking pot while it's legal in many jurisdictions where NFL teams are located. Don't like getting suspended for doing something legal, don't sign a contract and don't play in the NFL.

So, no, you c'mon - educate yourself about the issue first.

Deflating/over inflating footballs is high tech? The teams have been doing that since the inception of the league. Besides what team doesn't cheat? That's the real question. Because if we are going to say the Patriots are cheaters then who else is "cheating". Quite frankly I consider using abusing and flat out breaking the rules part of the charm of the sport. It makes things more interesting. Cheating in the league is good. It means people really want to win, and they are doing everything they can to get that slim edge.

Brady never signed anything that made it legal for the NFL to go through his cell phone, or any other player for that matter.

That is BS.

The NFL would be sued in 2 minutes if if they tried to lay claim to the individual players phone data.

The league, has the right to go through the phones that conduct official business of the people who work under the NFL's administration.
