Russian stripped of London 2012 silver medal after retest

Hmm...interesting and who are you exactly to decide on this arbitrary "cleanliness test"? I also always thought that it is the job of the accusing side to prove individual guilt and not the responsibility of each individual athlete to prove their own innocence to people like you that already made their minds regarding the "verdict".

Fallen.

The Russian state set up a cheat system which even went so far as secret doors in the lab, where dirty specimens were switched for clean ones. Nobody tested in that lab can prove they did not cheat. Negative tests from a reputable lab are needed to confirm innocence.

Yeah, it's kind of obvious that woman is on something by just looking at her. lol. I also like how she cheated and still came in second. :lamo What a loser.
What does that say about the gold medalist then?

Why are they ALWAYS going BACK in time to catch this type of thing?

Can't they ever test people when it matters the most - years later after the contestants have been given accolades and awards it doesn't matter so much.

The problem is that the cheats are always ahead of the game with new substances or masking agnts or techniques, and the tests are state of the art for the time, but always on the catch-up. It's good to know that samples will be held to be tested later. The cheats have to know they'll eventually be found out.

Who will decide on what is a reputable lab and what is not, you? ...and btw using your own argument here from the previous post, setting up these "rules" an extremely short time before the Olympic games meant that the different athletes had no time to conduct or obtain any meaningful verification of their tests. Essentially, all those athletes were seen as guilty, the burden of proof was reversed and the criteria given them to "prove" their innocence was impossible to complete in time for Rio.

Fallen.

And known doppers were allowed to compete and win medals... hypocrisy at it best.

Russia banned from Paralympic Games after appeal failure

Russia will not compete at next month's Paralympic Games in Rio. Russia's appeal against the blanket ban imposed by Paralympics officials was rejected Tuesday — ending any hope the country's Paralympians had of competing in Rio. The Court for the Arbitration of Sport upheld the decision made by the International Paralympic Committee following allegations of state-sponsored doping. A statement for CAS found that the IPC "did not violate any procedural rule in dealing with the with the disciplinary process" which led to the suspension of the Russian Paralympic committee. It added that the decision to ban Russia, "was made in accordance with the IPC rules and was proportionate in the circumstances."

The underlined is what the IOC ignored. Massive state-sponsored cheating requires an equally forceful response.
