NBA Offseason '16: The KD Sweepstakes, the Draft and More

THings just got real...or very, very boring. 73-win team signs most coveted free agent.

Kevin Durant announces he will sign with Golden State Warriors

lol...I suspect that this will not work out quite as well as is expected.

Maybe crazy but if I were the Cavs, I would trade Kyrie Irving to the Clippers for Chris Paul. Paul is a significantly better point guard than Irving. See how that works out since Paul and James are really good friends. Paul I believe is Lebron James kids godfather. Than I would try to trade Love and whatever is needed and get Boogie Cousins.

Sure Boogie has anger issues but James and Paul are good leaders and would keep him in check.

Cousins. Yes. Paul. No. He is old and has injury issues.

Hartford in Boston is another problem too. Cousins might be needed just to get to Golden State. We'll see though. Sometimes this super team stuff fails. Dallas won that title in Lebron's first year at Miami.

This much is already clear, owners and players really screwed the pooch by not agreeing to the proposed 4 year graduated salary cap increase.

This is all the players fault from what I have heard.

Morons.

It can't be good for a league that already has lame regular season competition. So, we know the Warriors are going to the finals. Ok. That's done.

Now, who from the East are they going to face? And, at this point, do we even care?

I'm a KG fan, so...Duncan was just lucky enough to be drafted by a good team and great organization. Duncan came in and played with David Robinson, was coached by Pop and ended his career playing with Parker and Gnobli. KG had Latrell Sprewell. Pretty much sums it up.

It's probably not that bad, I just remember it that way. Anyway, Duncan was definitely a top player. KG was just better :)

Ugh...NBA summer forecasts came out today, and not one team outside of Cleveland or Oakland received a single first place vote. Not one team, not one vote. GS received 43; the Cav's, 4.

NBA: 2016 Summer Forecast, NBA champions

NBA is going to really suck in '16-17.

Bye KG. My favorite big man of all time, perhaps. I know this...no way would I have watched a single Timberwolves game ever without him being on that team. Dude was unreal in his prime.

[h=1]Friday's Pacers News: Offense keeps scoring big in preseason[/h]The latest notes, updates and analysis on the Pacers from around the web.

Pacers look to be up and coming. I give them more of a shot of being a contender to the Cavs in the East than NY or Boston...or Chicago. Miami, IMO, is a lottery pick. A lot of eyes will be on Detroit.

Out West, I'm going to keep my eye on Minnesota this year. New coach and a strong foundation of young talent. Tough to crack the playoffs our West though.
