One goal game after two. Pens up 1-0, mostly due to a great game by Fleury.

It's going to be a hell of a third period.

Preds have their hands full with the Ducks. But, I like their chances.

The Caps' series was really good. Probably the final right there.

I also noticed that the announcers sound like Pen fans. The disappointment in their voices whenever Pittsburgh fails to score or turns the puck over is very noticeable.
 
It should be 2-0 Ottawa right now.

The commentators are suggesting Pen isn't playing well rather than Ottawa is playing great.

More reasons to absolutely HATE Pittsburgh.

When you play Pittsburgh, you will take alot of penalties. The refs will ensure that. Now, Crosby won't be taking any penalties, even if he slashes a finger almost off your hand.

Eddie Olczek explaining why a defensive play was good on Ottawa's goal, because he was reacting to what the play was going to be instead of the mistaken way it was was hilarious. His yelling at the refs that Ottawa had too many men on the ice was pure comedy goal.

And now Olczek is explaining why the winning goal was a mistake...

I suspect that the announcers want to see the Pens and Ducks in the final. But, so far, it's the Preds and Sens who are up one game to none.

I'm not Pittsburgh fan but Crosby got smoked by Washington. That Niskanen hit was nasty. Someone slashed him in the back on the same play. But yea he gets away with a lot.

I don't see Crosby as dirty at all. But, I do understand the refs protecting the NHL's biggest star.

And Niskanen got 5 and a game for the hit, which was exactly appropriate.

He gets away with plenty. Be nice if they protected Taveras a bit. He gets slashed and interfered with a ton and the refs swallow their whistles.
 
WooHoo, Sens win again! Six overtime wins so far! :monkey:rock:2dancing::cheers:

On paper, the Pens are the stronger team, but right now, the Sens are playing with a lot confidence, unison and mental toughness. They can pull it off, I think.

Taveras is one of my fav. players. I would love for him to be traded to the Sens. :cool:

Yea mine too. Snow will overpay to keep him. Although the Isles have a lot of young talent. Barzal looked horrible in his NHL debut but looks great in the minors and on the Canadian under 21. Ho Sang looks like the real deal. Be interesting to see if Bellows develops. Go Sens!
