Would anyone want to pay the money (150,000,000€+?) and reorganise their entire team around a 32-year-old prima donna, albeit a supremely gifted prima donna? I wouldn't want him at City, even though we're one of the few clubs that could afford him.

And before you say so, yes, I know that he'd be much more likely to be linked to United than City.

It's probably a ploy to get the authorities off his back

Return to Manchester?

Good question..problem is that most people in the know in Spain, are saying that Ronaldo is having a (another) hissy fit, and it is his "people" that have floated the idea because Real Madrid, according to Ronaldo, have not backed him up enough in his massive tax evasion case. Considering how biased the system is for Real Madrid in Spain, and that Real Madrid was out fast to condemn and back up Ronaldo.. well we shall see.

Look at it this way.. every major player in Spain BUT Ronaldo and his Real Madrid buddies have been investigated for tax fraud, and now that is happening. It is not like they did not have warning enough to potentially get out ahead of this problem. The irony is, Ronaldo is accused of 3 times as much fraud, which could land him with a prison sentence, where as the others get suspended sentences. So maybe it is an attempt to get out of dodge before being convicted and if so, then yes the UK will be where he goes if not China, as both (by the time the case is done) will be outside the EU and Spains legal grasp. Doubt the UK will extradite him.... because they most likely wont have any treaty in place to do so... ahh the irony.

Chances imo though, he will stay and get a pay jump, and Real Madrid with a little help from their friends on the right wing of Spanish politics, will make the case "go away" pretty much.

More information on the Ronaldo saga...

Seems Ronaldo is among other things pissed about the fact, that he was not used as a model for the new Real Madrid kit...

BTW, the new kit is freaking awesome looking. Love the light blue on white.

Ronaldo will most likely be playing for Man United next season. That's my bet anyway.

Well, they do need a new trick pony to replace Ibra.

Well De Gea plus 183 million pounds for Ronaldo and Morata... that is the new rumour.

Sad part, they can actually afford that insane amount as one of the only ones out there.

Best one is the 3rd division German team offering free beer for life if he comes to them :)

Bradley Lowery: Sunderland fan dies after long illness - BBC News

Bradley Lowery passed away aged 6. Such a fighter and such an inspiration to millions, it was also heart warming to see how the football community rallied around him especially his hero Defoe who has just gone above and beyond for the lad.

RIP little lad

Sad story. He was clearly a right little battler and full of character. I've also thought a lot more of Jermaine Defoe since I heard about this story. RIP Bradley.

Defoe's Bournemouth return has been overshadowed by little Bradley's passing. RIP.

Meanwhile, in other news, Rooney has returned to Everton! Scousers have been warned to lock up their grannies.
