A judge in Texas has received a public warning after telling a jury to reevaluate its guilty verdict for a trafficking suspect because God told him the defendant was innocent.

Jack Robison, a Comal County, Texas, district court judge, reported himself to the Texas Commission on Judicial Conduct after making the remark in January 2018, The Houston Chronicle reported Wednesday.

In TX at least, if you get the word from some invisible & all-powerful entity, you'd better pay attention before turning yourself in.

At that point in the Trial, the Judges opinion has little bearing.
If he really felt that strongly about it, he himself could have set aside the Jury verdict, but did not.

Well , good grief, if this judge has a direct line to God then why do we need to waste taxpayer's money on juries and court staff?

This guy can just determine if each defendant is guilty or not guilty without the cost of a prosecutor and jury.

Hell, lets put him on the Supreme Court. We are wasting his talent down there in Texas.
