FOUNTAIN HILLS, Ariz. — Joe Arpaio is running for the Senate in Arizona despite a criminal conviction, an admitted absence of policy depth, a nearly nonexistent campaign and a history of inflammatory treatment of Hispanics, the fastest-growing segment of the state's population.

Yet despite all that — or maybe because of it — the 85-year-old Arpaio has a legitimate shot at winning this state's Republican Senate primary,

In the age of Trumpism, nothing surprises me anymore.

If you ever get down to Tucson, you will know the population growth is entirely illegal aliens with no jobs.

So hell yes, he is winning.

1. A garbage conviction by a judge that wants to play king and deny him a jury trial.
2. Not sure what his policies are so where it has depth or not is up for question, I suppose.
3. Who cares about what kind of machine you have behind you for a campaign. Hillary had a giant apparatus while Trump ran with almost nothing and won.
4. There isn't a history of inflammatory treatment of Hispanics. That's just a lie. There is a history of enforcement immigration policies, you know...laws and stuff that Sheriffs are supposed to uphold?

I can't address your #s 1 & 2, but #3 can you elaborate on "almost nothing?" and regarding #4 Google 'Sheriff Arpaio prisoner treatment,' the amount of material is too long to waste space.

Yep, Arpaio will likely do poorly among the prisoner and illegal immigrant voters.

3 - Almost no party support, very low comparative funding, no solid campaign team, ect, ect.
4) a) Shifting the goal post b) I've living in worse conditions without being a convicted criminal.
