I see what you mean. Like how the US means business in the War on Drugs. They put people in prison for 20 and 30 years. That certainly put a stop to the drug trade.

We have a homeless population too. You would think bringing in outside "help" would reduce the homeless ability to get jobs. But I guess not if you just put them all on welfare.

You shouldn't be able to support yourself on a minimum wage. Not comfortably. That may be a bitch to hear, but The reality is that is economically bad. We need more jobs that are above minimum wage. Not more fast food jobs.

I don't like the immigrant amnesty thing, I never have. I think that we're being overloaded by immigration and our infrastructure can't support it. BUT, what's driving it is the markets and war as I said earlier. I met a man from Armenia last week and he's here on a green card, working a steady job and he says he has to wait 5 years! to become a citizen. That's waaaay too long. In the meantime, the GOP pays lip service to fair wages and bringing down costs that are skyrocketing due to shortages. Our universities take twice the tuition from exchange students, leaving our own people out in the streets due to full classes and the band plays on.

What I can't stand is lying about Hillary or Barack Obama, neither of whom are friends of mine. The conservatives delivered up Donald Trump precisely because of out of control right-wing emotionalizing and witch hunts that serve nobody, so I would submit that looking into your own political theory and actions might be a step forward.

There should be no illegal crossings when using capitalism, well regulated. We could virtually eliminate the black market for labor with a market friendly work visa. Why are we not capitalist enough to make money off of foreign labor wanting to try their luck in our markets?
