Tennessee lawmakers resist lifting tampon tax because women might buy too many

    https://www.nydailynews.com/news/nat...gq4-story.html

Some Republicans say this bill has too many strings attached.

In a legislative hearing Tuesday, Tennessee lawmaker John Hensley questioned a proposal that would make tampons tax exempt during his state’s tax-free holiday period. The GOP legislator explained that if the tax is lifted, women might go willy-nilly in purchasing the hygienic necessity.

Good thing someone is looking out for those poor women.
Can you imagine if they spent all the mortgage and grocery money because tampons had no tax for a a few days?
    What utter chaos.

Such a good thing they're looking out for women.

Do you believe that women should pay a tax on tampons while condoms are not taxed? Your male privilege is showing.

Tampons are bad for the environment and plumbing systems. Women should have to go back to being on the rag when they are on the rag to save the planet.
