Virginia Beach declares itself 'Second Amendment Constitutional City' 7 months after mass shooting | TheHill

Virginia Beach, Va. has declared itself a “Second Amendment Constitutional City” seven months after 12 people were killed and four others injured in a mass shooting.

The city council voted 6-4 Monday night in favor of taking on the symbolic message to encourage lawmakers not to pass gun reform laws during a meeting that attracted a crowd that spilled into the lobby and the outside lawn where gun rights activists screened the meeting on a projector, The Virginian-Pilot reported.

VA Beach has a heavy military & retired military populace, which may help explain their common attitude about gun rights even after a mass killing.
 
The best thing is that no one had any ability to defend themselves, so their headstones should read "Hero who sacrificed his/her life rather than harm his/her murderer."

That is the ideology of the anti-2Aers: Everyone has a moral duty to allow themselves to be robbed, assaulted, raped and murdered. Defending yourself and your loved ones is the most evil thing anyone can possibly do - and this ethical duty to be a defenseless victim should be required by law.
